Zoomer Kiwi Central / Serious Gen Z Discussion - A place for Zoomers to have a discussion about the Gen Z and their future

That's not what we're here for, bro.
4Chan tried that shit and it didn't end well.
It's best we just sit and laugh at shit.
Also all the archiving.
I mean I know you're technically right in pointing out political mobilization isn't the purpose of the site, but at some point complaining and venting just gets old and I wanted to see if any of you have moved on to the "next stage" so to speak.
It's an interesting question: whether to stay-and-fight or flee; Regardless of what is optimal, working towards either is better than languishing in inaction.
Have you chosen any of those options yet?
I've been slowly trying to get involved in local politics (when my mental allows it) and its been very difficult to get past aged in boomers who just refuse to pass the torch so to speak. But even then I just keep pushing because I refuse to just be a reddit doomerfag spamming about how life sucks!
Any success yet? In my case I hope to assume the head of the local youth organization of the political party I'm part of.
A Canadian monarchist youtuber recently inspired me to try and become more involved locally. I am especially guilty of endlessly doomposting on the canada is a failed state thread, but the least I can do irl is get more involved with my church and a some local political/non political orgs.
Wilhelm apologist?

"I fucking hate politics! It ruins my life and I can't do shit about it!" says the guy who doesn't know the name of his major or what issues are actually being debated locally. I've met a lot of armchair politicians and yet I played with a guy for 4 years before he accidentally let slip he was an actively employed youth politician.
Though I guess if the "transitive" state is 2 fucking years its not really transitive is it? I need to get out of the house more. Someone call me a faggot and tell me to sign up for fencing classes please lol.
I've done rifling, archery, trampoline, tennis, badminton etc in my youth, and I'd be eager to try any of it again, yet I just don't go for a test class. I hype myself up about archery, look up the site, see 5 balding fat dudes who look like loners and just lose interest. I'm not going there to find a wife but it'd be more enticing if it felt like something I got value out of other than telling myself "Oh yeah I'm in a club, I'm doing shit". I guess you might need to give up a niche interest to find one with a broader appeal to find a larger variety of people you might mesh with. The reason school and church is great for meeting people is because it spans income and lifestyle. Padel is exclusively a rich douchebag sport; golf isn't for mid-20s unemployed graduates.
At one point she stopped replying, despite me being as neutral as possible because apparently you've gotta lick them toes and glaze HR people endlessly till they give you what you want. It honestly seems like a humiliation ritual. And in case you haven't noticed, yes, I have never had a job before.
"Yea, I was hoping to find a spot I might fit well into with hopes of eventually specializing into what may be required in the company. :) " it's only as much of a humiliation ritual as you make it. HR and employment hasn't changed in fucking hundreds of years. That bitch is as tired of the charade as you are, but it exists for a reason. I've read so many recruitment posts where people who employ 30 people a week literally just beg for metrics, however fake and useless. "This guy saved his company 8 hours a week by automating this one thing" is twice as useful as "This guy uh... 'was in charge of the daily schedule' ".

Hey. Fencing sounds fire. If you ever get into it, make sure to share with us what your experience is like. I doubt of getting into fencing myself, but who knows.

They probably aren't going to give you the job anyway, so if common courtesy isn't getting you anywhere, and they start saying retarded shit; call them on it. They need to hear it.
Sorry, I was indeed overreacting. I got told that there was a four-hour (20/24 hours a week) position available but it is literally when I got class, so I guess I'm now in some random company's database. Better than nothing, but still feels like nothing.

Without exposing myself, I have this memory hole of when I gave basketball a try but, as the term implies, I don't remember it. Maybe I imagined it, who knows.
I also gave football (what Ameritards call soccer, I think?) a try, archery, badminton, kickboxing, swimming, going to the gym... Archery and badminton were definitely my top two in terms of how much I liked it, but in both instances the coaches were lazy-coded. On badminton—and this is a bit of a sad story—, the coach was getting old and was genuinely just giving up altogether. On archery, however, both coaches distracted themselves into not working, so I just quit.
I don't know to which degree gyms have gotten worse, but from what I hear, it has gone downhill indeed. Everyone's wearing headphones to prevent cancerous by-default pop songs from entering their ears, hoarding the equipment and/or undergoing roid rage whilst girls act like whores in front of the mirror. Guys will do the same, although they swear t-they're straight. Whatever, man.

I still have my doubts on chess. Yes, yes, not a real sport, but I always complain about not being cognitively challenged enough, which sounds more like a cost-less ego boost than an actual problem, but my degree warrants rote memorization as compared to, I don't know, using your noggin. I get tired from memorizing stuff, but I don't actively solve a thing? I could've gone the engineering route but I wasn't ready for it.
Chess would seem like a good idea but my autistic ass gets anxiety-induced cognitive paralysis from so many different options available: how do I know I'm making the right move? How many times do I need to give it a try before I reach X elo or proficiency? As proved, this cost-less ego boost is more of a self-deprecating and ironic joke about undiagnosed room-temperature IQ. No bullying allowed; I'd cry :smug:

Genuinely, I think that one of the best things Zoomer guys could do for themselves is to start training combat sports. Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, all those things provide a lot more for you than just learning how to fight.
You get out of the house, you meet cool people who want to see and help you improve, no phones, great exercise, you can compete if you want, and it's one of the very few places left where (real) masculinity is upheld as a virtue. You gain confidence because martial arts are a skill you have within you, you earned those skills and it wasn't some bullshit school course or anything like that. You make legitimate friends because when you and some other dudes spend a few hours a few nights a week scrapping it out you bond in a real way. You have mentors who want to see you succeed in that art, and as time goes on you mentor newcomers by training with them and showing them what you know.
I think combat sports are the best way for young guys to fill that void of socialization so many have these days, and one of the best things about it that few talk about is how, frankly, it filters out pussys. You will get dogwalked over and over again, and if you're a little bitch who can't take that oh well it's not for you. But if you stick through it long enough, if you prove you can stick through the beatings and show up the next day, that alone gains you respect from your peers because they remember being that new guy who didn't know anything.
It's one of the few real things left in a manufactured world, just go out and train and stick with it and before you know it life won't feel as bad.

I know shit sucks for Gen Ziggers like myself but holy fuck the misery porn is insane hahahaha

We should all get comfortable with dying soon, and with seeing loved ones die. WE ARE FUCKED.
Shit reads like a @Fatpacks post hahaha

@VeteranOfTheRetardWars Can't figure out how to quote you in an edit but I agree. I'm seriously going to the gym now and have gotten to the point where I bench far more than untrained men's 1RM for reps and even though we live in polite society the concept of you being stronger than someone, even if you don't know how to fight makes niggas tread lightly.

I have noticed a massive uptick in misery porn content on jewtube recently. The whole genre of playing some 2000's game while saying "its so over guys" or "become a neet" shit has unfortunately really popped off.
Yeah man :(

He is one of the funniest users, everybody loves him even though he has 2k posts with a negative sticker rating.
No one except TESniggers love fatpack. Nigga will literally say shit like "ITS SO OVER FOR THE GOP GUYS, BRAT KAMALA IS GOING TO WIN" time and time again only for it not to happen, but they still treat him like a visionary lmfao.

Real
when i was unemployed its like youtube found out somehow and just started pelting me with these kinds of videos
I never really watched one but seeing a million voices saying “everything is fucked and youre going to die alone” every day will fuck with your headspace without you noticing.

I'm in this boat right now and YouTube has also been doing the same for me, although I actually engage in it and watch some of these videos. Part of the reason why I think it seems to appeal to Zoomers (aside from the obvious idea of wanting somebody else to revel in the misery with you) is that I think a lot of Zoomers just want to hear someone echo the sentiment they've all been thinking. We're perhaps too aware of how miserable things seem to be, yet the advice we're supposed to listen to from Gen X'ers and Boomers is so blatantly out of touch and overly optimistic. Every boomer I speak to seems to think every young person has it just as easy as they did. Many young people are just tired of being told things will work out because they have mostly experienced a world in which things do not work out and decline continues.

Yeah i mean obviously things arent perfect but be careful it sounds like youre falling into the same mindset that i did and from experience it’s not only unhelpful but also dangerous. Like you know what’s what and your parents probably dont. Nothing’s new. It doesnt help anyone to form a complex about it.

My outlook on life during that time drastically improved when i switched from watching youtube to tv shows (and Fishtank since it was going on at the time) and i’ve probably watched less than 10 youtube videos since.
Like yeah tv is slop now but you can always watch the sopranos or something and there’s at least a baseline expectation of quality well above “amazon worker blackpilling in a car”.
Cons of dropping youtube include missing out on hour long video essays on topics you literally couldnt give a fuck about.
I would also watch a lot of music videos on spotify desktop like it was old school MTV.

Yeah, girls'/women's expectation or experience would be, that at least 3 out of 5 of those guys would also try to bag them, so why should there be any girl more than once.

Happened to me when I was mid-20's and went to help speleologists, an uncle twice my age did a very cringey bagging attempt and put a hand on my thigh in front of a male friend I was with. They sense singleness like a shark sniffs a drop of blood. He even had two baby seats in his car and a wedding ring. Wtf.

Disagree. A friend of mine was into grappling sports and all he got was multiple concussions from wrestling with young indian men who put izzat first and safety second. Plus when he revealed to me that every time he saw a man taller than him he thought about if he could take him in a fight I realized he was into it because of small dog syndrome. I'd rather lift weights.

EDIT: Some of you really need a youtube suggestion remover extension.

Your boy got slimed out by a jeet?
Dawg he should take up knitting at this point, that’s just sad.

It's the same sort of issue as people going too hard in recreational basketball or soccer and fouling others because they are trying to be the big fish in a small pond. When playing a sport with I don't know I prefer something with a net separating us like volleyball or badminton.
I can't recall where I've seen it complained about, but hobbies in general have been ruined from people monetizing them for profit or telling people you have to be better than everyone else. The point of a hobby is to have fun with it, not be pushing it to be something you have to be professional level all the time. Like even in video games, fucking Esports have made people ultra try hard in every fucking thing. Yeah, I'm trying not to lose, but I don't want to have to follow fucking constant pro "advice" or some ultra meta strategy just to win, I'm just trying to have fun with whatever I'm using.
