No different from Africans who think albino peoples' bones are filled with gold.
No no, its the bald-headed men who have gold stored inside them. Albinos are medicinal.
(And I so wish to God I was joking about either of those.)
The new Syria guy is holding the country together remarkably well given what he's up against. Loomer always spergs out about him but the alternative is another decade at least of internal fighting or US nation building which would be expensive and politically costly . No one here wants to deal with that so Im fine with the the al Quada guy.
He also seems to be somewhat willing to toe the West's line, which is better than al-Assad who was both anti-West and completely failed at holding the country together. Remember all the cope about how he'd totally crush the new offensive, and then it turns out that even his fellow Alawites wanted nothing to do with him because he had done nothing but run Captagon into the rest of the Middle East for years instead of at least pretending to rebuild the place and pay his soldiers?
It feels kind of gay to use a television show as an example, but Landman had a scene where Billy Bob was discussing the sweet spot for crude oil. $85 really does seem to be it. Get into the $90's and it gets hard to sell, into the $70's and the traders slow down selling. I'm fine saying I work in the energy sector, and I can confirm that traffic has slowed down quite a bit. The only constant seems to be base oil, but I'm not sure as to why that's the one product that seems to be impervious to market forces.
I've done some of the most bitch-basic surface level looks you can do into this and $85 is about where most US shale becomes profitable, massively increasing the overall production levels without being cost-prohibitive for the buyer. Some of the Bakken wells are profitable at about $70 to $75, but $80+ is where the taps get really turned on. Factor in the USA's refining capacity and ease of access unlike a certain shipping corridor that's currently under heavy transit restrictions and it becomes a net win for us and a net loss for the Middle East thanks to our global market share getting a boost and theirs a hit.
The second that letter drops US approval rating in Morocco will shoot through the roof as Spain still holds sovereignty over 2 cities on the Mediterranean coast of Morocco which Morocco has been telling Spain to fuck off from for the past 75 years.
Also I wonder if that will open the door to the US outright annexing Garcia Diego and the Azores.
The Spanish would be absolutely
pissed if we tell them to ditch Ceuta and Melilla and hand them over to Morocco, but hey,
our treaty with the Moroccans is a hell of a lot older than the North Atlantic Treaty. It was only supposed to last fifty years, but after the Sultan broke it in 1802 he almost immediately turned around and reaffirmed it in 1803 when we showed up with a squadron of ships to deal with the Barbary Pirates because he wisely desired no part of that impending ass-kicking, and since then neither side has seen any reason to declare it no longer in effect.
Those cities have been Spanish for longer than Morocco has existed as a country.
And Gibraltar has been English longer than it was ever Spanish but that hasn't stopped Madrid from throwing the occasional fit over it.
It's like if you have to constantly tell everyone that you're the leader and you're in charge, then you aren't a fucking leader and you aren't in charge.
I hate that this is the
other awesome line from A Game of Thrones.
That game sucked and was so pretentious.
Does a low int run improve anything?
Don't worry. Not long after release the studio broke apart into multiple competing successor studios, all claiming to be the one true successor, thus proving their Leftist bona fides.
Imagine playing HOI4 or civilization or something and in addition to all of the other resources and pragmatic angles you have to consider there's a bar called "izzat" that makes your civilization collapse if it reaches zero.
Well, one of the HoI IV DLC's added a "Stalin's Paranoia" tracker to the USSR that players have to carefully manage with selected purgings and propaganda efforts before they can finally remove it and start unfucking their country. Close enough?
True. Because Europe has no future with its current trajectory. Not as a vassal to Russia, China, or the United States. Their future is nothing
Europe has chosen to stand for nothing, and thus even those who stand for something as simple as base as their own desire for power will inevitably come to dominate them.
There's been evidence of Iranians getting Russian manpads.
I'm certain they'll be as effective as anything else Iran has in inventory given Russia's own demands for AA systems that's a bit closer to home.
