If he killed himself within the year I wouldn't be surprised. I'd go so far to say he was released partially to prevent a suicide under the government's watch, which would make Obeme look bad. I doubt they give that much of a shit. Manning is never going to be allowed within a mile of anything resembling sensitive information, much less classified information, any time in the near future. If they do bother with surveillance, it's possibly to look into Manning's acquaintances. Once they find it's nobody but other troons I doubt they'll bother doing much.

I figured as much, Manning is likely just fishing for pity points while their popularity is really high. Taking a picture of a random guy is really low, though.
The thing that I don't get is why it is that so much of the discussion hinges on Chelsea's gender with these people. Her gender did not get her put in jail, and while I honestly don't see her as a traitor or a criminal myself, the way these people discuss it is as though their consideration of guilt is contingent upon gender, when it was never even a gender issue.
Here is a non-Rat King, older transgender woman talking about it, and what she has to say should resonate, not necessarily because of her opinion on Chelsea's traitor status but on the rationale of release.

If you don't think military guards mistreat/abuse prisoners to the point of torture, then it's obvious you've never put one toe into a military prison. You can be starved, dehydrated, kept awake for days , and denied all outside contact.

This bums me out. I have a lot of respect for what he did back in the Bush years, and never really thought twice about his tranny turn until now. But if he becomes a progressive figurehead it's going to be real hard for me to keep his past and present actions separate.
