It was a bit conspicuous tonight that he suddenly started skipping that last one, almost like his swiss-cheese brain had conflated Ashley's HRO petition's repetition of April's abuse claims with any insinuation that anything similar had ever happened to Ashley, or his swiss-cheese brain had misremembered some old text from April insinuating that Ashley told April that she was also abused, until he sobered up enough at some point to scroll through his old texts and realize neither one of them said any such thing. Don't hold your breath for him doubling down on that one anymore:

She did indeed show up to court. Meanwhile, according to Mama K, this ugly swamp goblin lied about having PTSD over Aaron showing her nasty semi-nude photo to 1 person. She's just as wretched as Nick is.
In all fairness he did come up with the believable excuse that he didn't catch a redeye and the morning flight didn't leave enough time for a detour to dump her off in Spicer on the way to Saint Cloud, the timing of which lines up with his relentless tweetstorm that morning all being done on plane wifi:
So in his infinite wisdom, Nick is talking about his legal strategy, which is to bring up irrelevant things during trial, to continue harassing Aaron while on the stand, under oath, testifying?
It can't even work as a misdirection, because nothing seems relevant.
Maybe he should read Minnesota Rule of Evidence
401 and
403 and maybe take a CLE on it. There is no fucking way in hell that this judge,
whose own order cited both rules in the course of bitching about the insanity of there being "300 potential exhibits," won't shut him down mid-sentence on the stand before Johnson even starts standing up to object, but nobody tell him that as it'll be very funny to watch him try getting a word in edgewise:

Being a defendant is like having a pet shark. Testifying as a defendant is like jumping in to swim with the shark.
What pitfall? Even now the big-brained lawyer is still doubling down on how much he
wishes they'd have let him testify, and it all would have gone swimmingly:
I know I'm super late on this but - this is projection. April told Nick that Aaron ate Nick's goo because she thought Nick would find it sexy. Which he did, you can see it in the DMs. It's just straight erotic roleplay.
I'm glad that someone else picked up on the fact that April and Nick were roleplay sexting when April brought up the goo eating because she thought Nick would think it was sexy.
I don’t know if I was the first to bring it up, but I mentioned several months ago that there was someone credible who claimed to have direct knowledge that this was the case. April was deeply uncomfortable with it and when she told Nick she did not want to engage in Aaron-related role play fantasies anymore, he froze her out completely. Only when she texted to say she’d keep doing it did he resume contact.
Tonight gave away some interesting tells about how poorly they contrived those texts long after the alleged incident, when you could see just how taken aback, paranoid, and defensive Nick got at the panel's relative newcomers that had to be told the story for the first time and had enough common sense to push back on plot holes that didn't make sense, prompting Nick to stammer through excuses about not having gotten all the "specifics" from April, his having been too high on molly to remember, changing the subject from this nitpicking to the intended point of the story, etc.:
Anybody like that panelist looking at it with fresh eyes (without immediately
wanting to believe like Meltonites did) will always bring up the same common-sense questions and hopefully others, such as which room of which house it was even in, what room Aaron was in before supposedly barging in right after Nick was done throwing ropes but before Nick had come back out of the bathroom that conveniently made it impossible for him to witness anything,
where Kayla was at the time, where April and Aaron would have gone after the supposed slurping other than lying down in the bed that all four of them routinely slept on together, why Aaron and April didn't fuck after the supposed slurping and what they did instead, whether everyone was gone by the time Nick came back out of the bathroom, etc.
The more you think about the comings and goings of all the people involved, and the more randos like that panel press him to stammer through a glaring lack of specifics, the more this bullshit story starts to fall apart like a house of cards,
and he knows it.
errrrrrm... because no one but Kayla was inside her head, it's impossible for anyone to know for sure whether she enjoyed Aaron's peepee inside of her. And even though while we were fighting she told me that she thoroughly enjoyed having her brains fucked out by the Toe, that could still be a lie and I'd have no way to prove it because I'm not her.
