I feel like you guys say this every couple of months. You're not necessarily wrong, but I feel like recency bias may be a factor.
I mean his begging has been Scorn levels on the daily for awhile now. If he doesn't have at least $100 by like 1PM his time you know he is gonna beg his ass off. It's just so common that we kind of ignore it now and also his begging segments are very long now so they just get muted even by restreamers. If we were to go by each individual beg you would have like 8-10 per segment which you get multiple times an hour as well as after anyone subs or sends a small superchat.

You can only take him crying about not knowing why people aren't here because he likes the game and is making the best kahntent he has ever made but because he is a variety streamer and has a different audience for each game... blah blah blah.

Is it me, or is Phil begging more than ever? Not just begging but demanding. #UHBS2026 is more fitting than ever!
Nah don't get me wrong he does still beg daily, but I think the absolute peak of his begging was from the "King Streak" starting in late 2024, all the way up to his Asmon interview in late 2025. It reached absolutely insane levels during that year and I think it'll be a while til we get anywhere near that again.

He has some fucking insane begs during DQ7 I think it was the 2nd or 3rd stream of it just a fucking hour long guilt trip beg session that I'd put as an all timer if it all didn't just blend together. I guess it's hard to blame him when the same 4-5 dolphins all respond to it princess luna/NSRV etc will start throwing him pennies till he gets to $100 so whatever it works for him.

I agree the begging is a constant and it does wax and wane, however there's some different kind of desperation going on where now he is trying to milk himself and post these badly edited detractor type vids and revomit up the same stale marathons but now monthly ones? He's not so much changing the consistency or quality of the begs I think there's added motivation to attempt and reinvigorate the beg , maybe spruce it up a little bit but it's still all the same old shit yeah.

The begging has been different recently IMO, he's just outright saying during the Copecast and even the gameplay itself "if support doesn't pick this, I'm not playing this again". He doesn't even try to obscure that, he doesn't avoid saying it, it's an explicit pay up in the next 2-3 hours or this game is going to Banworld.

I personally think he is really starting to add up the buy now pay later stuff on Amazon and the payments are getting out of control. There is no way he doesn't do those like every time it's offered, he admitted ON STREAM he did so for the TV he bought a few years ago, and this was after somebody gave him the money for it! I bet he owes Bezos $1k/month

Phil's begging now may be more but it's different. Now it's exclusively guilt tripping the same ~10 dents to give him money. Maybe I'm being pignotized but this is closer to normal in weird parasocial streaming culture. See Sir Gold and KC passerbys dumping serious amounts of money for Phil solely because their leader instructed so.

he's not really begging any more than he usually did, the flavor of the begging is mainly different. Back around coof times we got the "I need tips for muh liquidity of muh business/muh day ahf/pet food for jasper/several large bills" sprinkled in with him begging for massive membership whaleouts to hit the next sub/member goal to trigger a marathon, then we were on to X goals hit to trigger a DSP tries it, now we're on to the more 'normiecore' wheedling for support instead of open handed pleading and begging for several large bills/other sundry excuses. The only time the begging (temporarily) dips is after incidents like the Scorn game overtime tips-temper-tantrum that break containment and make people outside the snortex point and laugh at him, and even that will only last like a month or two tops.

No, from SideScroller onwards it's actually insane and it got even worse after Kino and Asmongold.

He's going to run out of games to wage quite then spend entire streams just doing nothing but screaming "lets get some support!" while slowly shedding his skin to reveal the fish scales underneath.

I just saw there is a trailer for the new street fighter movie. Did Phil already complain about it and how it doesn't follow the plot of the games properly? Do those games even have a plot?
The plot of any fighting game is "There are fighters in a tournament of some kind" and that is about it, because it is hard to have a real plot when there are dozens of playable characters.

I saw ALT looking at shorts on WPIG and thought I'd throw this together real quick

These are 2 of my faves, though.

Guilty Gear and later Mortal Kombat games manage to have good story modes, actually.
They don't tend to adapt well to other media, though, unless you either limit the playable character count like something along the lines of Art of Fighting, or the game has a clear main character, which a lot of games don't.
