Iran Crisis ∩ Trump Politics Mass Debates Thread

Imagine having to reach back eighty years to find the right war crime to gloat over, and then wonder why this happens:
Please. War is the crime. How its fought really only matters in the calculation of who wins or loses. Europeans tried to come up with some rules of mutual honor, and they worked, albeit imperfectly, when two western nations fought each other. Everyone else on the planet though? Not a chance.

Migger trying not to display bloodlusty sociopathy challenge: IMPOSSIBLE

Give him three pages and he'll be back at pretending he cares about oppressive dictatorships on the middle east

Think of how snarled a major city becomes when a single major bridge goes out. Look no further than the FSK bridge in Baltimore and the dramatic effect that one single bridge being down had on that city's ability to move people and goods around in a timely fashion. Adaptations eventually took hold, but they're more expensive and slower and will be until the bridge is repaired.

... and that's just ONE bridge in ONE city.

Now imagine a deliberate and calculated removal of all major spans in every major city across the country, prioritizing the most significant disruptions of traversal for commercial and residential traffic. Think of how that will disrupt the entire country's ability to get literally anything done for months. Militarily and civically.

If you want to paralyze a modern nation state while minimizing direct casualties (knock on ones are a different story), disrupting traffic infrastructure by removing critical spans is a great way to start. Now add disrupting electrical grids and you've just brought every major city in Iran to its knees.

Goods and services will cease. Grocery stores shelves will go bare because Trucks can't get through to areas. Gas stations will go dry for the same reason. People won't be able to get to work because either the only route is gone, or the traffic gridlock is so bad, they've been told to stay home. Emergency services will be cut off from whole areas. Supplies for Iran's war machine will be strangled. Raw steel or munitions components won't be able to move around easily. Neither will any other resources or personnel.

People will adapt eventually, and eventually things will get fixed and rebuilt. But it will take quite some time and a significant amount of resources to do so. But I think the best this administration can hope for is a complete neutering of Iran's ability to function as a modern society for the rest of Trump's term.

How this will alleviate the problem of the Strait, I don't know.
You can stretch this logic to include anything. Poison the water supply to weaken the ability of a military to wage war. Destroy crops for the same reason. Bomb hospital because militaries need hospitals. Apartment blocks because personnel may go home to sleep at night. There's no limiting principle. It's very Talmudic. The end justifies the means because the other side is amalek.

There's also the obvious question of what happens if you bomb all their bridges but Iran still keeps the straits closed and blowing up everything in their vicinity. This is the short-sighted thinking that allowed Trump to get us in this mess in the first place.

Moot point argument because you're talking with retards that are fine with all of this

It's the Jewish ethos ingrained in the average migger mind

You are just realizing this now? Hell, when I was in the service and doing .50 cal training, they told us you are not allowed to use it on people because it would be a war crime to try and shoot someone with an anti aircraft gun. Instead, aim for their rifle and when asked say you were targeting equipment. It was "mostly" a joke, but a pertinent one.

This is why I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up to the news the US (can't let Israel do it. Think of the antisemitism) used a tactical nuke. If you're using bombs against civilian targets to affect a military outcome against an entrenched enemy, you've opened up the logical question of why not just use a really big bomb. I truly hope this doesn't come to pass but considering this insane asylum of a country with an equally lunatic executive, nothing surprises me anymore.

We're not going to use nukes. We aren't even going to blow up the power plants. There are plenty of ways to take down a countries electrical grid without butt fucking them for a decade.

Even short terms electrical outages nation wide harm civilians greatly. Quit playing dumb

As long as the Strait is not open it will not be seen as a victory for the US. This mostly just screws over their Gulf allies and their allies in Asia. I read "You don't fuck with the boats" here and elsewhere way too often. Well Iran is fucking with the boats. Continuously so and nothing really is stopping them.

At least oil is expensive and renewables will profit from it and turn the whole energy supply issue into a smaller and smaller concern with the passage of time. Suffah petrolheads in the meantime.

Not. Its inevitable. But if the plan is to send the Marines in to open up the straits of hormuz, Iran can't be in a functional position to respond. The lives of the Marines > enemy civilians. We are required to make allowance for civilians lives. Not sacrifice our operational ability and soldiers for them.

No. None of those achieve the same result in the long run. But they do cause short term pain.

While they all impact civilians to an extent, they are localized with immediate work arounds - PROVIDED OVERLAND TRAVEL IS FREE. You can stand up a hospital in any large enough space and bring in equipment. Food can be brought from outside the country. Water can be purified. Emergency shelters can be erected.

But NONE of these work arounds can be done if the only bridge servicing the area where the work around is needed is taken out and you can't get the medical, shelter or food supplies in. Do you see the difference and how it causes the most amount of disruption for the least amount of pain?

Places like Tehran, Tabriz... these are major, modern population centers built on 21st century civic planning that are almost entirely reliant on the veins and arteries that feed the organisms that they are with nutrients and fuel. Even the largest organ suffers major damage by just removing an important blood vessel. Cities are not much different.

Durrr you dont know merica bin dun warcrimes all da time. :smug:

No shit, dumbass.

Your boomer anecdote is pointless when there's a difference between a dumb, pissant grunt doing heinous shit and the leader of the United States ordering it.

This is why every country in NATO said "Good luck with that Iran thing, we're busy atm".

You have no idea what you're talking about.

You think the Europoors and their American ideological brethren here know what a graphite bomb is?
Who knows. They seem to think the Israel and the USA are going to take down the power gird by dropping a bunker buster right on the nuclear reactor core at Bushehr because we are just that stupid and evil.

Nice, very nice.

Let's see Iran's losses.
Like a videogame right? Bing bing wahoo

Everybody knows what a graphite bomb is. Making distinction of the means when the short term result is the same is either autistic or plain dishonest

But I agree with one thing: you are stupid and evil

Just curious, what would people in this thread need to see for their minds to change on the result of this operation? If it takes longer than the updated time frame? What do you need to see to falsify your position of Iran is losing any day now and will be capitulating to US/Israeli demands any day now.
In my opinion anything relying on capitulation from the Iranians is a non-starter at the moment since the leaders keep getting converted into fine black particles, I'm not really sure how you would effectively ensure that all factions within the military would capitulate to US demands, but it's possible I'm missing something though; the only way to effectively suppress Iran is to completely decimate their resources/supply + logistics I think, which appears to be happening, so you would need solid evidence to prove that this is not the case which I understand is difficult as any evidence that can be solidly verified is effectively like showing your hand to the opponent which can only work if you have no chance of losing and doesn't align with Iran's doctrine of pretending that there's monsters in your closet since they're a vastly weaker opponent militarily

Additionally it will be a poor showing if there is an extension past the six week deadline but it's fucking WAR, any deadline given is only there to placate civilian sensibilities

EDIT: Posts like this really ought to go in the debate thread also

I quickly skimmed through last pages and seems like talksTM are still ongoing and IRGC is coping about zionist entity. Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Great post bro thanks for telling us what's in the thread, retard
