I have been viewing a lot of Trump's military adventurism as him setting the board for ww3. He has been going after BRIC energy sources, taking Venezuela's oil fields for the US, gimping Iran's oil industry, striking Russian refineries and seizing their tankers. Iran able to still intimidate civilian shipping is annoying, but that is a problem for Europe as they are not willing to help secure their own energy needs and will be useless when WW3 pops off and Iran and Russia shut off the tap for them anyway. As for Iran providing an area of denial. civilian shipping is extremely skiddish and of insurance companies say no, then ships are not going to pass even if they are safe from attacks. For the rest of Iran, the only area they deny the US are areas the US is not interested in. The recent rescue mission showed that even if the Iranians are hell bent on controlling the area (like the area of the missing pilot), if the US wants in, they will kick in the door, skull fuck anyone who trys to stop them, then leave before people can process what actually happened.
And whose going to show up for WW3?

The dumbass Strait can by bypassed by almost everyone but Iran. Iran's a nothing now, no problem. They're back to only being able to blow up civilian planes with Snackbars like when I was kid.

Russia? They couldn't take a soggy shit hole full of potato snatching retards. Their navy couldn't make it to the US and their Air Force isn't dropping paratroopers in the Midwest any time soon. Their AA might not be the hot shit we've thought for decades. They probably won't even have gasoline, like at the end of the Cold War where they couldn't even drive the tanks to Moscow without them running out of gas during their retarded revolution.

China? Well, it's true that their detection system works great. If it explodes, there's an F35 somewhere nearby. They have an achilles heel the size of a fucking dam. They know good and damn well they'd last less than Iran.

Both of them, we're not sure if they even have nukes and not a stack of boxes with MUKWE-ARE VEAPAWN on the top box.

Mexico? Yeah. They'll be able to do nothing but provide A10 food and hilarious videos as they find out that their chainsaws aren't helping them from a Puff the Magic Dragon.

Canada? India is unlikely to attack us through their colony, so we don't have to work there.

The EU? They're bragging their biggest military in the world with the most advanced equipment with the most soldiers, most tanks and planes, most helicopters and artillery, most artillery.

But we all know it's bullshit.

To be honest, Trump has ripped the guts out of any WW3, showed those dipshit vodka swilling morons and dog eating retards the same thing the arabs, that we might as well be doing fucking magic.

Despite those faggots at the Doomsday Clock, we're further away from WW3 than any point in my lifetime.

the only thing that could possibly start ww3 is if somone drops an actual nuke outside the middle east. But the only faggot who might try something is north korea and i think china has them on a short leash.

If the equipment was important over people, then what happened in Iran was nothing to what Biden did in Afghanistan.
the foolish decision isnt to send the equipment, the foolish decision was creating the need in the first place by starting the war. he has mitigated the disaster somewhat but it is still a disaster. we arent even on the ground and already there's cracks in our supposed untouchability. this is after iran was supposed to have been totally neutered as well.

the strait is so measly and unimportant trump is cursing up a storm and praising allah in unhinged ultimatums he taco's out of, while he constantly begs a coalition of his allies to help open it against a nation who supposedly has no serious military assets but then manage to shoot down multiple us aircraft.

Well the reality of it is that one of the only things Iran can truly do is harass ships in the strait. The fundamental problem with this is that Iran doesn't need to be sinking ships left and right to cause problems. People harangue on shipping insurance but the real way to think about this is risk. If you're an investor and your options are to invest in oil and ship it through the straight and theres a 5% chance of the ship running into a naval mine and it can't be insured because of this what do you do? You don't make that investment and do something else. It isn't even that a naval mine will sink an oil vessel. What it will do is tie up your money for a lot longer than you expected.

The West does not have the ability to police the entire area because all Iran needs to continue causing this specific problem are 80 year old Soviet naval mines, commercial fishing boats with outboard motors, and willing retards to die for the cause. All of which they have in abundance. There is no amount of space age USMIL super technology that makes dealing with this efficient. Other than getting them to stop by paying them or whatever. This leads to Trump and the collective West not having the advantage in this narrow situation. All the IRGC has to do is keep tweeting that they're dropping lol mines into the strait and firing shoulder rockets from the coast because fuck you.

The world has learned this well over the past few decades. If you can weather the storm when the US throws its weight around then you win. The US will not have the political capital to cause you problems again for a generation at minimum.

Just say you're brown and didn't understand a single fucking thing about this war.

None of you people know about war outside of history books and act like armchair generals. Politics and war are both like sports, all you can do is root for your side. Except in politics you get some decision in a democracy. But with war? Good luck trying to tell the military what they should be doing lol.

Because I'm not the richest person ever I saw the writing on the wall, realized I could skip the "suffering from student loan debt" part, and just not attend college for the same low wage job I'd be getting even if I had that goddamn degree. Sometimes I do wish I did go to college because "just maybe" I'd get lucky and the claims everyone makes would come true, but I remain convinced that it was honestly worth not gambling my savings to find out.
Just a reminder that the richest people on the planet are the ones who dropped out of college around the halfway point to make something. A college degree is only worth it if you want to work for other people. You don't need a college degree and 4+ years of experience for an entry level job if you work for yourself.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the etc etc you know the rest

I wouldn't take any of that as a worthwhile example. Bill Gates had wealthy parents with the right contacts to get in front of IBM to sell them something they wanted. Which normal people wouldn't have had. Michael Dell wouldn't have had the right contacts at the State of Texas to make State bids on contracts if he wasn't working for them during his year at UT Austin.

A rank and file white collar career provides the general stability and income most people desire. Which is why its recommended. Lots of people drop out to yolo it and fail as well, you just don't hear about it as much.

The only real thing to understand is that the US's ability to simply send a strongly worded letter and have a nation capitulate is deteriorating. It will require more and more costly actions to maintain control.

Exactly what happened in the Roman Empire.

That and luck.

Bill Gates was able to sell Q-DOS/MS-DOS well because the negotiation between Gary Kildall’s Digital Research stalled and CP/M-86 seemed a bit uncertain. Bill Gates really did luck out on the IBM thing aside from his wealthy connections.

Kildall did kinda mess up by choosing to go skydiving with his wife on the day IBM was supposed to show up at Digital Research.

Everyone has contacts, just different contacts. And if you want go to college for two years to make new ones, that's a valid reason to go. I think the stability of white collar work is declining and alread has, or soon will be lower than blue collar and self-employment.
