but isn't that a real concern over how much the stockpile is being drained lately?

This concern is equally valid to the concern that Iran wins by losing. I do not understand where this idea that the US needs to remain at 100% stock from some arbitrary point in time during a war.

The US can produce missiles, airplanes, and so on at a rate greater than they are expended in this conflict. Currently the rate is (somewhat) less than 100% sustain rate, but if this is due to incompetence or good reason you can decide. Resource usage is being managed by thousands of smart people who do this every day for their country.

People have been collectively traumatized after one protracted war after another from Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq for the past half century, people just don't have the same level of patience as they did back then, even if its unlikely this war will drag on for years (worst case; six months in my opinion, but that's probably still too long for most people, I reckon)

Even if true ( ) AGM-158A/B JASSM (& JASSM-ER) is a subsonic, "generally" GPS guided missile.
It's made to fly low and relatively "slow", but penetrate enemy air defenses by a combination of "stealth" (low-radar cross section, reduced infrared signature) and flying below radar on terminal approach.

It's made to hit static targets, ones selected days to hours in advance. It's NOT the kind of stand-in weapon you'd engage a pop-up, mobile target like a ballistic missile truck with.

1) lazy posting and just using "JASSM" as a catch-all term for any air-to-ground munition dropped by US aircraft (not impossible given every Israeli air defense is """iron dome""" and every anti-tank missile is a """Javelin""")

Yeah, I admit to thinking that the WSO managed to evade everyone in the local area to get to his hide-and-seek spot. Turns out I was completely wrong, and the locals despised the regime so much they were helping him to evade, and probably even pointed out a good spot to go chill until he was picked up. And on top of that, they created a massive traffic jam to keep the IRGC from swarming the place. Incredible courage because they probably feel like they don't have anything left to lose anymore.
