They don't want to solve the problem, because that would be racist. Anyone who knows anything about New York City knows that in various locations, you can visibly see city blocks get shittier as you get nearer the subway stations, because niggers and browns concentrate more heavily there.

@GunCar Gary is absolutely correct from what I have seen and heard. But let's ask the local New York expert. @AnitaSarsleezian, your take?

Have you just never heard of trains having security? It wouldn't cost the state that much to add a cop or two on each train car and bus so you wouldn't have to worry about the weird homeless dudes. Add in some extra rules about like sleeping on public transit being banned and things of that nature and the problem is mostly solved.
Any that try to do their jobs will get the Daniel Penny treatment.

Zionist Jeremy Boring who was fired from the daily wire for being too retarded and half zombie kike Dennis Prager don't understand the concept of an American being loyal to only America.
For whatever it's worth, Boreing wasn't fired from The Daily Wire. He left because he wanted to focus more on producing TV and film projects. The idea that he was fired was made up by Candace Owens, who is a literal fish-eyed retard. Boreing still works with The Daily Wire, for example on that new fantasy series which he co-directed.

Are you retarded? Black and brown people own cars too so they can still get into white areas. Even if they can't drive, somebody else can or they get an uber.
(((juveniles))) can't drive and they're not going to be mass Ubering to the nice malls with their meager resources. when you drive you're also required to have a driver's license and registration and insurance and follow traffic laws and once you leave the ghetto areas with cops that are paid off by the city to never pull over criminals, your license will be run and you will get pulled over for DWB and they will find something incriminating

theoretically older (((juveniles))) could stealth drive into a nice area with a generic car and not cause a ruckus but they always insist on driving hotboxed Chargers while breaking the most amount of rules at once while carrying an illegally modded glock

People have been completely made retarded by 25 years of dumb, dumb, dumb internet arguing on this subject, even longer if you were on usenet

There are zero intractable reasons not to have intercity passenger rail. In most of the country, if you take Amtrak, which shares rail with freight, you can see plenty of space RIGHT FUCKING THERE for more rail. If you drive on interstates you can also see QUITE A LOT OF FUCKING SPACE.

The other dumb anti-rail argument is that the distances in the US are too far which is so dumb you should be killed for making it. Nobody wants to take a train from LA to NYC, they want to take a train from LA to San Diego. Nobody wants to take a train from Seattle to Houston, they want to take a train from Seattle to Portland.
I actually would be ok with more trains but it’s not a money issue. It’s a will and corruption issue.

The main problem is that in order to have usable public transportation you have to put the screws to crack heads and urban youths. That isn’t possible with restorative justice. No fair skipping. No crack heads using it as an apartment. I lived most my life in blue areas and people would use public transportation more if they didn’t have to worry about getting their neck slit or don’t want to sit next to some homeless dude that shit and pissed himself.

Furthermore, we have to limit the bureaucracy and permitting issue. It’s why the trains in California are over budget and under delivered. It’s all being grifted by the bureaucracy and activist groups. They put up red tape which they charge for knowing no one will look into it or blame them for it. We could get more for less if we investigated and arrested all the bureaucratic scum.

We could have more public transportation if we didn’t have cowardly retarded greedy bureaucrats ripping us off.

If you think the ones capable of driving or having a friend with a car are bad enough, the ones who don't are far worse.

Fuck, I hate niggers so much.

This is more of an issue that has to do with the fact that instantly trying to go from nothing to a 220 mph high speed train service is a monumental task. They should've tried building a cheaper service closer to what the Acela or Brightline has first, see how the ridership looks, and go from there.

This transitions from an issue with public transit infrastructure to an issue with the legal system and law enforcement.
Both of which are under the thumb of local political machines, which invariably choose whichever policies are poisonous to a high-trust society.

Have you just never heard of trains having security?
I've heard about it but assumed it was just conceptional because I've never seen it while riding the train. They don't even use real cops for normal service. It's young 20-30 somethings with blue hair, drag outfits, and 3+ lip piercings that carry clipboards and coach minorities how to answer their questions properly to avoid tickets, hence my first hand experience example of an elderly black woman being told to claim she's an underage student. They're basically social workers but less trained. I would assume they can't use real cops because the defund the police movement has led to the city being short by like a thousand uniformed officers.

Whatever fantasy you have about train based public transport is objectively untrue when applied to Seattle's new light rail system. The only time I've seen real cops used is on days where one of the professional sports teams has a game downtown. Those are the only days where the train is filled with people from $2m median income neighborhoods trying to avoid parking fees downtown. As soon as the game is over and all the normies are gone, the cops fuck off and it goes back to being a mobile safe injection site where looking at the wrong homeless person could mean death.

Due to the lack of ticket enforcement, even normies are starting to not pay the fare. There's no turnstiles or any barricades to enforce ticketing, so you literally just walk up the stairs and onto the train. Taxes will inevitably have to be raised to keep paying for it.

We already have Amtrack nigga
Amtrak blows and isn't very extensive (or up to date) outside the NE corridor resulting in extremely slow travel times.
Yeah, the Rocky mountains are in the way retard. Get a car or get on a plane

Surprisingly enough, Amtrak's been turning a profit nowadays. That was inconceivable like 10-20 years ago. Amtrak's also reinvested in developing their most profitable corridors, upgrading the passenger cars, and providing more amenities relative to the ticket costs. Amtrak is actually far more viable for intercity travel than the equivalent Greyhound or Megabus alternatives. This is directly in the face of multiple administrations that were either outright hostile to public transit (re: Bush, Trump 45, Trump 47) or talked a big game but never once delivered (re: Clinton, Obama, Biden).

EDIT: I spoke out of my ass. Amtrak's still technically unprofitable, but the last couple of years had them slashing their operational losses. 2024/2025.

Then advocate for better security and fare enforcement and the problem is solved.

Xister, I've been on the Miami metrorail and trirail more times than I can count, I know that trains don't always have security and have hobos in them who smell like shit.

Senators are way too shielded from the consequences of their own actions, or rather inaction. Having six years between elections means it takes multiple presidencies to attrit the shitheads, and that's assuming you're able to defeat them in the primaries.
House members are basically sacrificial lambs who take the heat for Senators refusing to do their damn jobs.
The 17th Amendment was a mistake.
