Just because the explosion covers up the plane doesn’t mean that it hit it. I bet it exploded near the plane’s exhaust (suggesting IR) but did not touch the plane.
It’s a thermal camera. The small line is the missile and the big one is the exhaust.
the angle the missile is coming in on suggests it was fired from well in front of the plane. AA missiles engine's don't fire continuously, they glide after burning all their fuel. that's a big blob of exhaust heat for an AA missile a split second before exploding. and the plane's exhaust comes right out of the plane. and the exhaust from a missile, if the missile still has any exhaust at that point, shouldn't be an ovoid blob like that either. and there shouldn't be a black line around everything either lol. and the plane is just as white-hot as it's exhaust? lolwut? the missile is also as white-hot as that alleged exhaust? F-35 exhaust can go as hot as 1,300F. The upper range melting point of the composite alloys in F-35s is more than 100F lower. If that entire plane is the same color as its exhaust in a thermal camera image, the entire plane should be melting regardless of what any missile did or didn't do lol
