Prior to this issue we probably were not opposed to them having those levers of power because we consider them an ally but the Iran debacle gave us the perfect excuse to take it from them. Honestly, it’s probably a good thing for the average Brit as it cuts out the beating heart of their deep state. Starmer should start being careful where he buys his tea.
