What the fuck are these people talking about? I'm no expert but I swear you can revert to any git push you like? Hell, mods like KX suggest you play on git just so you can revert to a given push, as to not get fucked by an update breaking your save. I'm certain that they can remove Iberia from master if they really need to, unless 700 billion variables are now totally dependant on it which they'd need to untangle. (In which case fucking REVERT PUSHES?)
Either I'm a little retarded highly likely, or this is a bold-faced lie to explain away the fact they have no testers and/or work done.
 
Voting mechanic is fully coded along with ai behavior scripting.

Even assuming they could somehow not disentangle the git branches, they could still simply comment out the unfinished code and hide it from the player. If that is not possible, they could manually copy over the old Iberia files into the master branch.

It's very strange.
 
BTWH people still aren't fully done sneeding over the dreaded chud mod TFR actually making it to release & succeeding, but mostly they've now switched over to admitting that - beneath even my expectations - they didn't have much of anything actually coded under the CHAZ founder (when they were putting out the most teasers & generally seemed to be at their most productive) either; that even if his planned demo had come out, it would've been unplayable shit; and that they were bogged down under a deluge of retarded drama thanks to his antics even before the terrorist interview blew up in all their faces (the JATE crowd had similar complaints, although they at least got somewhere with their mod, IIRC even before kicking his dumb ass out).

Not that it should be any surprise at this point, but you can definitively mark BTWH down as one of those mods that was entirely stillborn and whose potential was, ultimately, 100% theoretical if you haven't already.

It really is a shame because there's nothing more interesting to me than paramilitary and mass ultraviolence. Atomwaffen is too larp-y for my tastes and is too much of a meme path to really satiate this want. It'd be grand to have some sort of white trash civil war path portrayed realistically.

The BTWH situation is just sad. I really think that the concept of Vietnam-era tensions in American society being taken to the extreme had potential. Instead, it's just a group of Tankies whining about mods that actually released. Sad!
