Zero chance of Massie in 2028. His refusal to bend the knee will ensure that MAGA loyalists vote Democrat before they ever vote for him. If I had to guess we're looking at JD Vance as the prospective heir apparent. And it's honestly hard to tell what his foreign policy would actually be once he no longer has to toe anybody else's lines.

I think people will be surprised at how quickly Trump loses influence over these next few years if the Democrats win back majorities in the house and senate. He'll never be on another ticket again and he'll have zero policy victories for the last two years of his presidency to keep his thumbs on the scales of the rest of the party. That's only if the polls remain as they are now. Who knows what reality will have in store for us when November actually gets here.

Israel just blew up the 88 senior clerics of Iran while they were meeting to vote on the new supreme leader. They were doing it in their dedicated building for that purpose and didn't even attempt to hide.

This is the third time Iran has had an in person meeting that ended up being blown up. The second was a few days ago when Khamenei was killed.
