Just looking up some trade stuff with Spain. They're a primary hub for US energy in Europe, so ending our trade with them is a gigantic thorn in the side for the rest of Europe which is already struggling for power.

The only downside I can find for us is wine, olive oil, steel and aluminum. The first two dont matter and the second two were ramping up at home.

The advertising agency that did recruiting commercials for the United State Air Force, GSD&M, decided that the Muslim hate was too much. They came up with an ad campaign called, "I Am An American," where a bunch of diversity poster people flash on camera for a few second and say, "I am an American." GSD&M paid for all the production costs themselves, then had the Ad Council distribute it for free, then had major media companies air it for free. From start to finish, it was imagined, created, supported, and distributed for free by corporate media and ad agencies.

It was the first time I ever recall seeing blatant propaganda that was against the nation's self interest being blasted across cable TV. There were more of these commercials too, I just can't find them. One in particular ended on a woman in full hijab with her eyes barely visible. Even as a young teenager it made me roll my eyes how blatant it was. I still don't really understand what their motive was to make these, as ad agencies rarely do things out of the kindness of their heart. It very well could have been the Saudis that influenced it since they looked most guilty for 9/11 at the time.
