Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

Insurers still won't take the risk. Hormuz isn't fully closed though, Russian and Chinese cargo is being allowed I believe, like Suez. That's why they didn't just sink something or mine it to block it completely.
I don't think Iran has the capability to block the straits now. their navy is gone so no mining operations. the straits are small in nautical terms but you'd need hundreds of ships to sink before a navigation hazard is created. Any shore artillery or missiles would get swatted down by aircraft or naval weaponry.

I don't understand why US can't just park a destroyer in the middle of the strait, and one frigate at each end. Plus a P-8 doing circles above and maybe a CAP rotation of F-18/F-35 just in case.
Mainly because this isn’t a CMO tutorial but there are a lot of reasons we can get into if you want

It's too bad they are gone. they were built for escorting convoys. :(

The Kurds are actively attempting to fully split from the IR now.

I, for one, wish all the luck in the world to the brave IRGC and Shia Mujahadeen fighting in the name of the Revolution.

There is an old Russian saying:

"Trust... but verify."

Brother, the U.S. dropped two small suns on them because they didn't want to have to spend millions of lives taking Nippon island.

Now granted that was a little overkill but it worked so good that the U.S. still basically has boots on the ground there till this very day.

Hell, I don't think they even like their sun-flag any more...
Is kiwifarms.jp still working? Jorbsch can re-use the old flag meme since they're not any more...

They still do, actually.

Japan, unlike Germany, never actually ceased existing as a state.

So now South Korea is joining Spain to reveal their true colors.

TLDR: United States commited a heckin terrorism by killing a foreign leader.

The Fatherland Innovation Party claimed that the announcement of the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a U.S. and Israeli airstrike on the 1st was "clear state terrorism".

Spokesperson Han Ga-seon said in a comment that day, "The leader of a sovereign country was killed by a foreign army in his own country", and "We strongly condemn the US invasion, which directly violates the UN Charter".

He continued, "The moment the logic that a powerful country can eliminate the regimes and leaders of other countries if it wants to do so is accepted, the world will return to a jungle ruled by force, not law", adding, "Attempts to subdue the system through military force while ignoring diplomatic procedures will lead the world into a deeper vicious cycle of chaos and retaliation in the future".

"Peace cannot be achieved through violence", a spokesperson said, emphasizing that "'peace through force' is only rhetoric that justifies violence by the strong".

He added, "The United States must immediately stop military action and return to the principles of compliance with international law and diplomatic solutions", adding, "Order by force is not peace, but only the beginning of another war".
Afaik, that's a small progressive party in S, Korea's parliament:

What the Iranians did was have all the nuclear parts to build a bomb ready to go, but would threaten to put it together (to build the bomb). I call it the lego set approach.

What a retarded approach. You have rouge nations like Pakistan and North Korea (and frankly Israel lmao) that cause nothing but trouble to their neighbors but nobody can fuck with them because they have nukes. Iran should have bit the bullet years ago and they would be all but untouchable.

Shit or get off the pot.

— Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi says that the Civilian Government of Iran is no longer in charge of the military following the beheading strike by Israel and US against the leadership of the Islamic Republic:

What happened in Oman was not our choice.

We have already told our Armed Forces to be careful about the targets they choose.

Our military units are now, in fact, independent and somewhat isolated, and they are acting based on general instructions given to them in advance.

Lmao, according to the Iranian's own foreign minister, their command and control is so fucking degraded that their missile commanders are operating guerrila style and independently.

Can I get a sauce for this, chat? But I believe it.
"DO NOT REDEEM THAT AIRCRAFT!" I mean it sounds right. Just imagine these guys but hired as "radar specialists" with no actual background in that field, lol

Hm. Take with grain of salt but
"We do not know the exact role of the F-15s, but it is highly likely that the F-15s were launched to take down Iranian drones and possibly Iranian cruise missiles. This means that the local air defenses should have focused on the incoming ballistic missiles. However, this was not the case as Kuwait’s air defenses were shooting at both drones and missiles. This suggests questionable coordination between US assets and Kuwait."

It sounds like the US maybe expected IFF (Friend or Foe) systems to work and either they didn't or Kuwait didn't uhhh use them. Which would be a pretty fucking big oversight, if true.

WTF is this gay ass name? Who's the moron in charge of these names!? What fucking wario land 5: big trouble in little tel aviv?
Zoroastrianism probably only sounds cool because it’s a (nearly) dead religion let’s be honest.
Unfortunately alot of the people who practice barring the parsis seem like cringe VIKANG larpers tbh, ngl zoroastrianism is fucking cool but Christianity seems like a natural evolution for iran religion wise that's its insane not to consider it. I mean ffs some of the first people who met Christ were persians. So its only fitting that a religion made by the peaceful hippie is worthy of an ancient civilization like persia!
A serious resurrection of zoroastrianism would be nice (minus the whole fucking your mom thing) but Christianity can suffice. Though im a theist so i dunno.
It's crazy how good their defense of the country have been all things considered. Then again. I have heard that the UAE is pretty much the only arab country whose military isn't a fucking meme. So that explains alot behind their israel tier handling of drone attacks.
(pearl harbor for japan, and oct 7 for iran and it's proxies)
If this fucking ends with iran getting nuked i swear...
persian zoroastrians were considered pagans, so they don't even get that option.
That's actually bit of a murky situation since initially Umar wanted to straight up kill all the persians until muhammad made it so that the zoroastrians were considered as people of the book. Though IIRC they were the most heavily persecuted people of the book religion by a mile. Esp when jews in some mud societies got good treatment.
I just have to say, one thing that can’t be overstated is how awesome the Kiwifarms is for getting information at light speed with primary sources and archives.
One guy at work is almost convinced I’m a superhacker with intel ties but no, I just read through this place and from that alone my information is more solid and timely than any news source he’s aware of.
God bless you spergs.
The farms been a lifesaver in debunking some of the utter horseshit my family will sometimes end believing in. You autists are cool and i hope you all a very autistic and a Dino nuggies filled life inshallah!

Saying “why didn’t you support an attack at any point until now” is actually deranged. The majority of right wingers (not all obviously) have been hawkish on Iran for that long. I think he got raped by Ben Shapiro or something.
To be fair, the Venezuela operation gave quite a bit of confidence in the new Department of War to get things done cleanly and quickly. Had this been under any other administration in the last 35 years, it either would have turned into an ineffective bombing campaign with the cresendo of a B-2 getting shot down (Clinton), a 20 year long occupation (Bush), a brutal civil war with ISIS 2 taking over (Obama) or some sheboon parking an aircraft carrier in the Straits of Hormuz trying to do a drive-by on the IRGC and getting sunk (Biden).

still needed to enrich the uranium to 90 percent

what you're talking about is called the nuclear threshold and a lot of countries are capable of it
