What an apt comparison! Being transgender is truly just like having such a cruel and horrific disease like cancer! Thank you for showing me this awesome post on the front page, Reddit!
...I have to wonder if any of these people have ever had to actually personally witness what horrors people go through when they have cancer. The constant doctor's visits, the wide array of medicine they have to take every day just to be able to get around a bit. The imaging showing a nasty mass growing, or sometimes it's just
everywhere in the body. Rounds of chemo that can completely wreck your body in hopes that the cancer doesn't take over. In some cases, you may even have to quarantine parts of your own home and adopt special cleaning routines for your loved one to safely go through treatment.
All of this, everything, in a desperate attempt to save someone from an absolutely
painful death from these cancer cells spreading, often times taking over organs and sending them into failure. Sometimes it can spread all over the body, crushing their innards and immobilizing them. They can have strokes, heart attacks, so many different ways for cancer to just completely fuck someone over. If it's just too much in the end, the best thing you can do is get them comfortable in a hospice bed with a free flow of morphine so they don't go out in
too much agony. They pass on, a husk of their former selves, withered and frail, often times extremely underweight as they couldn't even bear to eat anymore.
...But yeah, I'm sure it's totally reasonable and fine to compare something like the risks and physical pain cancer patients go through just to
survive to being really really sad because you wanna be a girl but you're a boy so you need to cut your pp and turn it into a vagene. I mean, they both have to go to the doctor a lot and take medicine, it's close enough!
Thank you for reading, I will understandably accept any tophats I get.
