There is definitely something strange going on with those two. I don't know if it is abject corruption by association with Bannon, but he isn't helping them. Baris and especially Barnes strike me as guys that thought they were going to hit it real big. And to their credit, they have done a good job with their respective businesses. But they never seemed satisfied with what they had. Barnes absolutely revels in the celebrity and wanted more. Baris has a chip on his shoulder and an axe to grind with other members of his profession and is vindictive.

Each had a rising star that never reached the heights they wanted. Baris's biggest "get" was being put on the RCP polling average but otherwise he's "that loud, asshole Rumble pollster guy" and Barnes probably thought he was going to leverage his Amos Miller case into something really, really big. Around that time he was going on and on about "we're having RFK Jr. on the show next week" and it kept getting pushed back and pushed back. Years later and I don't even know if they (Barnes and Viva) ever even got the interview, I stopped watching.

That right there is a perfect demonstration of Barnes being all talk with very little to show for it. He couldn't even get RFK Jr. onto the show (this was well before the election) despite being a huge proponent of his. And Baris... man, he lets his temper get the better of him in public and that's just embarrassing. Go smash a video game controller or something but do it on your own time.

I too watched that Alternate History Hub video. Guess what. We Still blew up their navy anyways.
