Yes, he's THAT retarded.

He's a creature of habit, he's used to cutting the stream in segments so he'll keep doing it.

As for why exactly, he still thinks he has a non-live audience that religiously watches his videos.

All of that to avoid the reality of his channel being dead to the algorithm.
 
Doesn't he exclude parts of his streams from being uploaded? Namely the turbo begging segments where he goes totally mask off?

That's the real reason he privates the live broadcasts most likely.

edit: penultimate question time. Does pigpiggo track the unrecorded segments as well? If not then the real "support" amounts must be literally off the fucking charts

No. Which fits into Phil's oddly stubborn disconnect that what he says on stream effectively never happens and YouTube ON mode is real. Its why he really believes he doesn't beg excessively.
 
Phil leaving his streams up is great for us real and true Phil fans because we can read his chat (and see how allotaapeepul in chat agree) and view his unfiltered unrecorded begging segments which used to only be accessible through stinky lying detractor channels!! Huge W for Phil and fans, big L for detractors and trolls!!!

I think he really misses the high volume of single player FPS and TPS cover shooters they were pumping out when he started this grift. All he had to do most of the time was stand in place, aim and tap/hold a button before heading down the next corridor to do it all over again until he had to cry and shit himself over a puzzle boss.

Resident Evil has remained locked into this similar/fairly simplistic formula since RE4. It gave up on a heavy of load puzzle solving and resource management a long time ago. He knows a high volume of autists love the series and turn out to see him stumble through them dumb as fuck plotlines be damned. They didn't market this one with a giant milf either so he probably feels safe from lecherous japanese design-style titties. I think if every big release played just lke it he'd be slightly less miserable going through modern vidya.

Never say Phail doesn't change for the better! He uses direct capture, doesn't he??? He'll just cross his arms and stubbornly refuse for years, finally adopt the change far past the point at which it would have made a difference, then look around in confusion and cry when he isn't praised for "upgrading" to something that was standard 5 years ago.

I think he also really believes that people will someday wake up and realize that his content is amazing and will go back and watch through his old catalog. I think that's why he's so concerned with monetization on videos that get less than 1,000 views. Just like he thinks that if he talks enough he will "disprove" detractors and we'll all change our minds and realize what a great guy he is.

He can't, dunce! The trolls would find out and ruin it! Can't trust anyone out here! And there's literally no way around it, not a single way he could find an editor that wouldn't be a troll. And he certainly couldn't just do it himself... Honestly he'd probably get move views from a detractor editor, we've seen the fan-made TIHYDP and they suck.

Souls games pushing the zeitgeist of game design back towards games having a mEaNinGfuL challenge was probably one of the worst thing to happen to DSP. He would have probablly been beyond happy if games continues down the path of push button, win, get dopamine, shit out 3 videos a day.

Even in his drunk call with wings he mentions how he used to be mr beat the game in 3 days, he would still be that guy if it was possible. Avoiding games on release day, variety schedule, and schedule autism are probablly partially designed to help protect his own ego by obscuring the fact he takes twice as long to beat a game as any other streamer.

It’s hilarious because it’s one of a thousand aspects of his content that in his hands were just doomed to languish and decay as LPing grew as an entertainment form. His P5 playthrough (469 videos btw, kys Phil) took almost 1.5 years. Over 500 days to beat a game that had full runs posted within 72 hours that it was dropped.

Who’s he beating to the punch with that kind of schedule? Stephen Hawking? Stevie Wonder? His own dead grandmother (and she’s dead!)??????
 
I might be in the minority here, but I think this is a genuinely good (read: not retarded) thing for DSP.
- His like whoring will actually amount to something
- VOD views account for everyone who's gone in and out of the stream, so they will do better in the algorithm
- All of this will amount to literally nothing because Raw Phil consistently gets 5-10x his views

On another note, has he given an actual reason to keeping the streams up other than because he doesn't want to? Now that I think about it, it's banned on sight every time it's brought up so I don't think I've heard him formally address it on stream before.

BTW, I hope he complains about rim world being on the chopping block. He was only $10 off the nongoal but that will all but confirm how much it bothers his ego not hitting 150 every stream. Even a pussy-whipped "we had a very good streaming day but..." will suffice.

He is really really concerned about the pennies he gets from his 300 view videos, and the legacy of his videos so he wants to drive views to the ahn demand videos that he will always see as his crowning achievement. Also he has no idea how YouTube or the algorithm or metrics works.

I hadn't really thought about it but it is pretty rare that he talks about how long games take him even though it's a common point against him. Might be one of those things he knows isn't changing so he ignores it, like him not being entertaining (he never talks about that either). Also, if a game is hitting the goal it really is in his best interest to keep it going with his current whale out model because there's so few games the tards will pay him for. If he was even remotely entertaining he could get new viewers putting out content with the week 1 rush of a new game, but he isn't, and he's also slow so even if he dedicated himself to a singular game it would take him at least twice as long to get through it.
