You remember the show ID program that Discord is part of? Turns out the company behind the ID check system is called Persona, and they're using Open AI at the behest of the Federal government to gather biometric data through each of their clients for the purpose of building profiles around each user to surveil them. The biometric data includes things like your face, obviously, your geolocation data, device ID, thumb print, stool sample, you name it.
I guess this explains why there's such an arms race for the best AI possible, the government has all sorts of data they've gathered through the Prism program, but now they have so much data no human can possibly parse through it. In order to make heads or tails of all the shit they have, they need some sort of sleepless, amoral and trustless super intellect that exists for the sole purpose of organizing everything they have and summing it up to create a comprehensive profile of each and every person they might want to scrutinize on a whim.
Isn't it interesting that debanking has ceased to be a major problem lately?
Forget 1984, say hello to Minority Report, everyone.
