Another update: the pooner in purple text dropped a "happy vent".

Idk really where to put this but I’m putting it in happy because it’s self reflection and happy I’ve made it to where I am but I will spoil it because it’s at length reflection about growing up and realizing I’m trans
I was thinking back and doing the math and I think it’s been around 11.5 years since i realized I wasn’t straight and surprisingly will be **10 years** somewhere in this year that I was realizing I wasn’t actually cis.
It’s kinda wild it’s been that long. And I wasn’t even someone who knew it super young. Looking back i definitely had gender related discomforts since a fairly young age, but never dwelled on or could put words to any of those feelings until after puberty. But honestly thinking about that even more I’d say I unfortunately had a kinda early puberty. I started having periods in the 4th grade I think.
But it wasn’t until middle school that things really became uncomfortable. Sometime in 9th grade I was realizing I didn’t have to be a girl and I wasn’t a girl. And by the start of 11th grade I knew I was at least mostly a guy. And before I even moved into college I already had the school paperwork going so I could start living as [her new name]. And damn that was already over 6 years ago. I’ve been on testosterone for a little over 4 years (but with gaps). And 1.5 years since top surgery.
To my family this seems so recent and maybe sudden, they’ve known 1 or 2 years depending on the family member. But for me it’s been nearly a decade of my life with so much pain and thought put into it and later finally some relief.
Just having big feelings about it right now.

This is just depressing in my opinion. They're 25. RIP. You won't be having much "relief" when the HRT takes its toll.

This is just fucking uncanny. The shoulders don't look attached to the arms. The hips jut out so weirdly. If I saw this IRL I would be like "what the fuck is wrong with their waist??" I guess using distorted music for the "after" suits how distorted her body is now.

Aha! A fire up the vacuum Ellen Page treatment!
And still a fail. Even with the facial hair and sculpted torso she still looks (and moves!) very undeniably female/feminine. Those lips and hips and that "Hey Baby/Come Hither" stance don't lie. Did the doc hoover out her breast tissue laparoscopic-ly? (Or did she already have bigger tits yeeted previously and he just sculpted what was left? Hard to say.) The no scars anywhere and the uniformity of skin tone is remarkable. I suspect filters. Some kind of CGI touch up. Amd a long period of working out after getting her torso fat hoovered out.
It won't last either. With time her body will form curvy fat deposits right back where they were removed. Mother Nature is stubborn that way.
A real shame. She was gifted some genuine natural beauty there.
What was the goal there? Psuedo gay man, or non binary freak?

Actually, the optimistic part is that she either dies from complications or joins the 41% as there are an increasing amount of troons and pooners that have been unlucky enough to make it to old age (Their 40s!) with their bodies falling apart thirty years earlier then everybody else's.

But, here's the thing about women and porn. The visuals of it don't really appeal to them usually. That's not how they work. Smut for women is usually something with a story to get them invested into it, and then the sex acts as a 'climax' or 'payoff' for the investment. Thus giving an illusion of the sort of fulfillment that you might get from a long lasting relationship. Especially in fanfiction, where many disgruntled fans might want closure for certain stories, or dislike how characters turned out. You have an entire genre called 'Whump' which is based around a weird fucked up idea of 'hurting in a comforting way'
Basically, Men get into porn to release a pent-up desire. And the addiction comes from the ease of the desire being releived. Like getting fast food instead of cooking.
Women get addicted to porn because they're emotionally starved and these books tug on these vulnerable parts of them and fuck up their entire brain.

I don't entirely agree. Imo, women are less invested in the visuals compared to men because it's not catered to them. A lot of these studies have images that resignate with male wants to view over female (when it comes to sexually explicit media), so it seems like men are more aroused by visuals than women when it comes to it. But women are human so they're very visually invested, too. This argument about them caring about the emotional aspect is true, but its not smut if there isn't sex or some sexual gratification involved. That's why the romance books with no explicit sex scene get way less traction than the ones that do. We see this in a lot of the other Pooner related threads (like Fanfiction Horrors & Omegaverse, Yaoi, and MPreg Fandom Discussion Thread), they draw this shit as much as they write it & it is equal to the depravity of the men. Don't get it twisted & fall into the trap of pitying the pooners more than the TiMs. They are both insidious, fetishistic freaks.
WHUMP is autism. It's taking a bunch of tangently related themes of pain & comfort and listing them for easy consumption. The attempt to tie them all together disregards the nuisances and differences in the intensity/subject matter of the specific category. It ignores big jumps & escalations (like that of gore scenes to typical emotional angst and their respective payoffs); its like how war and abuse stories have the same theme of human violence but it'd be poor organization to put them both under the same listing because the scales & details are way different. Also, it is is not exclusive to women. How about those hardcore rape scenes where the woman ends up justifying it & forgiving her rapist or enjoying it by the end (her "slut awakening")? Or the incest/pedo plotlines in male pornography where its justified because the victim "wanted it"?

Most of these chicks who write it are not emotionally starved, sad victims, who need this shit to feel something. They are porn addicts equivalent to their male gooner counterparts. Who's to say the TiMs weren't looking for an emotional replacement for their desires for intimacy? There are a lot of lonely guys out there who want vumnerable shit, too (a ton of incels are insecure and don't pursue women due to tjis after all). Or that pooners aren't also lazy as shit and want fast food type goon material instead of putting in the miniscule effort of showering & taking their BPD leds to land a normal boyfriend? Tons of chicks hookup because its easier than keeping a boyfriend or prefer their porn to actual, healthy relationships (we saw this literally a page ago)!
I'm not dissing on you, specifically, it's just this leniency towards pooners and their sick minds even on KF drives me insane. Just look at the AO3 tags listed in that video. Death to all trannies, no exceptions.
Watched the whole video and agreed with some parts, less so on others. I got this vibe that was less chud and more NLOG w/a side of The Critical Drinker. Then, I watched a video reviewing her video & arguing otherwise:

Personal Gripes:
* A lot of her research was sloppy. Her timeline is too short for the brief history of fanfic, her examples are inaccurate (ex: Twilight is not a HP fanfiction, it came from a fever dream written by a [deranged, given] Mormon), and she does skim over a lot of the articles she sites to "prove" her point (likely because she knows none of her audience will fact-check her). Imo, she also came off as very for censorship in her speech and on her website. Her bias is she finds it gross (true) & that a lot of women consuming this slop is not great (true), but that means it shouldn't be allowed to exist (NO). But, much like regular visual porn, I don't believe in government censorship. Regulation, absolutely, but she showcases that is not her stance. In fact, her downplaying of the CCP's actions ignores how this behavior is just among the first test of the government's more insidious desire to ban anything that could be deemed countering their grip on people's individual rights under the guise of "protecting children" from "inappropriate" material is a very common slippery slope for this shit. It ain't just our enemies that'll taste the hard end of a whip if we take the CCP as anything more than a hellish propaganda machine that picks & chooses who's best to make an example of).
* The way she keeps jumping from nonrelated topics & blaming fic for the choices modern publishers make is crazy. Just because AO3 exists & lazy publishers take from it to make easy slop sales, doesn't mean modern writing is dead. A lot of these slop books die on the shelves once readers get bored & the current pushback showcases, imo, an exhaustion with this literature. In fact, most fanfiction readers stick to AO3 and don't read the fanfic-to-published books + a lot of the worst contenders for garbage, modern lit never even read or wrote fanfic.
* Hate her constant sipping randomly, patting her stupid "Fanfiction Ruins Everything" board, + her assertion that all modern writing is dead becaise of just fanfic when she is a modern writer (I read a bit of her book and it was honestly rather plain with quite a few typos). The all or nothing word choice, "shame this shame that" attitude (yet, her insistence on how much she researched + the details of some of these examples presented), & the NLOG nature is heavy with this one. I get the inkling that given time we'll see she's not as based as she tries to portray here.
B) Anthony Gramuglia
* Left-wing
* Much like her, he similairly has an "owned 'em" attitude about being correct (though more subtle) & his downplay of the poorer aspects of fanfiction & how it has had an effect on modern writing. Yes, fanfiction is not the cause of modern writing's decline; imo it is a symptom. It's not so much about how many classics you read, but how writing is taught & experienced. A lot of modern writers do struggle to write outside themselves & our promotion of identity politics over genuinely well-written works is a bad thing. This is sprinkled in throughout with that usual, smug progshit attitude (honestly, both were very smug & I dislike both of them). She's also right about people being scared to write what could be deemed problematic, but I don't think indulgence is the correct word for this new writing trend. Also, shame didn't die in culture. It just got pushed onto a different group.

I would also like to add that there is this erroneous belief that all the written porn is only a small portion of the writing that an overrarching plot is "building up" to as a "payoff". There are plenty of fics that have the porn every other chapter or are straight up "one-shots" where it's more porn with some plot than the other way around. So yes, for a lot of them a lot of the time the porn IS the point and there is nothing to soften this. In fact, I would argue that in a lot of fics this is the majority of what counts as the NSFW writing. Of which it's increasingly obvious is infested with pooners because a lot of what were M/M fics I've noticed will have tranny tags so they're now M/F fics where the F is inexplicably play acting as a boy.
Anyway, malingering on weird sexual/romantic fantasies is going to make your relationship to that weird if you don't already have a healthy one and know how to keep it that way. It should be obvious that pooners are of a cohort who can't do that.
ETA: serioulsy, what fics are being written currently is actually an excellent bellwether for pooner nonsense if you know what fandoms to check out that are popular with them. It's very obvious whenever someone is commenting on fanfic who doesn't read it or read much of it and only repeats what they've heard from others.

I tend to default to pity for both trannies and pooners. It's like seeing something so dysgenic and damaged that they want to reject their own nature in an effort to skip tiers of Mazlow's heirarchy. Thinking there's some magical threshold that exists that allows them to get to the top of the pyramid.
It mostly comes from working around people who're in the middle of problems like that. So it's not a perspective that's universal.
Pity doesn't overshadow the disgust I feel with egg cracking/grooming/predatory behaviors. I just naturally default to that state. Because the illness itself *is* real. But the social movement has allowed people to wear it as a quirk instead of the horrifying affliction it is.
It's like if lepers was suddenly in vogue and you had teachers sizing kids up for king baldwin masks.
