The Worst TV Shows You've Ever Seen

Only thing i remember from that was the main character was drunk in the futureand couldn't remember his vison. "Because I was drinking" is the only line I remember. Then the show was cancelled and we never solved the mystery.
And yes it was ABC trying to make lost2.
The line is actually, "Because I was loaded! Okay?"
Such an awful fucking line and very badly delivered, yet someone must have been very proud of it because it was in the previously-on for every single episode. Taking the piss out of that, and Seth McFarlane getting shot, are the only things I remember about it at all. Although thinking about it, that puts it leagues above all the other Lost clones from that period, because I don't even remember their names let alone a single thing that happened in them.

"The Lincoln Lawyer" watches like the whole thing was made by AI.

It's not even bad enough to be good; the whole thing is just mid.

I am amusing my painful watch through the thing by finding things that make no fucking sense.

Sucks 'cause "Bosch" slapped.

The movie wasn't too bad.
I agree Bosch slapped, and Ballard is awful (and it's written by AFULs too)

If it is such a bad show, why are you still watching?

The British one at least understands the Lucy Punch receptionist is an idiot. Right, she’s just a chav. That’s fine. Every UK show needs one. It’s tradition.

1000120457.jpg

The American one turns her into like… April from Parks & Rec. Everyone’s fist-bumping her for trolling the doctor. That’s like every US adaptation. “What if the annoying character was actually epic and correct?”8)

In the British one, whenever something goes wrong, these three schoolgirls appear out of the mist and just yell “TOSSER!” and that’s their only line.

1000120462.jpg

In the American one they replace one of the girls with like a theater gay kid and now he does monologues. Of course. And they jeer him even when he’s right. He could cure polio and they’d be like “GAYYYYY.”

Fuck me. Why is every event in Portwenn “the most important day of the year”?:lossmanjack:

1000120463.jpg

Every single one. Blueberry pie contest, most important event of the year. Survivalist training, most important event of the year. Now there’s a Troll 2 style cult movie convention..... also the most important event of the year. The entire point of these events is just so the villagers can boo the doctor while he’s trying to diagnose, like, cholera.

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries

It's based on a series of novels. Miss Fisher glides around 1920s Australia solving crime simply because she's rich and bored.

The pitch, such as it is, is that Fisher is supposed to be a kind of Dorothy Parker party animal and sex kitten, but with the politics of a 2012 Tumblr post.

To be fair, a lot of these murder shows are guilty of this. Father Brown is set in the postwar period and features a priest who’s improbably chill about homosexuality and alternative lifestyles, but at least there it doesn’t feel so ham-handed. And it's especially rich coming from "I have no job, infinite money, and I fuck." She is insulated from consequences unlike the women she meets.

She drags along this detective whose name I refuse to retain. He looks like a gray filing cabinet that learned how to talk. He’s supposed to be in love with her, but he reacts to her the way I react to a broken printer. Any other show, that guy would be an antagonist. He’d be the inspector who’s like, “Oi! WOMAN! You can’t just investigate crimes,” but no. They hook up and there's nothing going on behind the eyes. Zero heat.
Makes me think of the Canadian Equivalent which is “Murdoch Mysteries” which I’m convinced was created solely to bury clips of Murdoch Murdoch in the algorithm

The only thing that could be more painfully Canadian than Murdoch Mysteries would be the thousandth adaptation of Anne of Green Gables.

Anne of Green Gables has more reboots than Spider-Man. Give it time, it’s gonna surpass A Christmas Carol adaptations.

I watched that 2016 one with Martin Sheen and I was sitting there like, why does this exist. Sara Botsford was the only reason to watch it.

Heartland is actually a good CBC show.

It's hilarious how they keep trying to add minorities (Niggers, Chinks and Jeet) to the main cast but they never last more than a season.
Heartland is that show that's been on for nearly two decades and I think I've met one person whose watched it.

That's not a judgment on the show, I've never watched it, I just don't know who watches it.

Gen V but mainly with season 2.
Some of the worst dialogue and least natural chain of events I've ever had the misfortune to witness. ChatGPT and fucking Helen Keller could team up and make something better.

I tried watching this show again.

Every joke from the original is dialed up to like… ball hammer smashing thumb. It’s like if Doc Martin was a Three Stooges short.

Martin and Louisa have negative chemistry. Just fully giving up. I almost respect that.

The villagers are the real problem. They’re all written like neurotic city strivers. They’re obsessed with status. They should be in like a workplace comedy arguing about parking spaces. It’s like rural LinkedIn.

The blueberry judge has more clout than the doctor. It’s for “relatability.” They have to make the protag seem like a loser so the audience feels sorry for him.
I’ve never heard of this, but it sounds like a retarded northern exposure

It's just another Hallmark show where some finance bro moves to a town with one stoplight.

The funny thing about the original was the guy was clearly insane. Like not charming, just clinically off. But in London that was the baseline. So when he goes to Cornwall, the town is almost normal, he’s the freak. Now the remake is like, “he’s a sigma grindset doctor and these pie baking idiots are jealous.”

I haven’t seen Northern Exposure but I assume it’s a lot better than this slop.
