I think this is a cope, personally. I don't think he really believes it, I think he wants to believe it but he doesn't sound convinced when he says it. He's said it for so long I think it's like the "dropped muh inputs d00d" excuse where he just fires it out on reflex. It probably was true at one point when he was at his peak, like how did this retard get so lucky. But now?

He always says shit like "it's perfectly normal to have an emotional response" which just isn't true. Men are capable of violence, which is why mastery over our emotions is valued. Hyper-emotional men are not viewed positively by society, like dudes that are breaking down crying in public that's fag shit man, grow a pair. But aside from that, an "emotional outburst" (read: tantrum) over a video game when you are allegedly a grown man is pathetic.

Hey, that's why we're here. It is puzzling, he is a puzzle. I don't know how someone as useless as him can even exist. I was watching WPIG cover the KO Gaming saga last night and ALT showed him having his parents over to his house one weekend. Most people who hadn't seen their parents in a year and a half might plan some events, go to the beach, visit Seattle and see the sites idk. What did Phil do? Had his parents help him paint Panda's office and do other chores around his house, like show him how to use weed killer. One of his condo tours when he was still East Coast he showed a trash bag and said "I'm waiting for my dad to come throw it out because it's heavy". I just don't get how someone can be that useless.
 
I apologize if this is late or already been brought up, but did anyone else listen to the drunk call with Wings and get reminded of John? In that video John made to explain why he no longer talks to DSP, he described how Phil would get extremely drunk and call him late at night for these kinds of heart to hearts.

Phil's income is really not "rich person" territory in 2026. I know people that work in IT, teachers, cops, nurses, city workers, etc., that make just as much, if not more, than him, once you factor in things like health insurance, retirement, benefits, etc. These people also usually have husbands/wives that make around the same amount. Meanwhile, Phil has Khet working at Plato's Closet part time. He also has an addiction to spending money and no financial management skills at all (lol Business Major) and lives in a very expensive part of the US.

Oh, and they don't have to worry about losing a whale and their income dropping by 33%. They just show up for work.

Pretty much his current numbers are what I make if I were to slave away for 6 days a week and without OT pay and benefits. That's how retarded he is. His "career" only looks good to $15/hr wagies in such god forsaken places like fast food, but of course that's what he claims all of his detractors are.

There's no way any of them could be like....normal people in their 30s and 40s with decent enough jobs and real families that would make living like Phil a pretty big detriment.
 
I just cant get the image out of my head of dsp in a kid's room, in his zelda jammies, lying down on his lightning mcqueen bed alone at night doing all this pillow talk with wings, while suddenly khet storms in yelling at him and telling him to stfu and go to bed.

Just a handful of pennies to throw out on some of recent discussions.

Don't make the mistake of trying to attribute logic and common sense to either Phil or Khet. These are two adults in their 40's (or maybe late 30's for Khet?) that eat every meal with paper plates because there is a very real chance neither of them knows how to do the dishes. Phil didn't know how to do laundry until he was in his 30's, and his idea of home improvements is hanging things up with pieces of velcro instead of doing the most basic of home maintenance. I suspect Khet is in a very similar situation. Like, why doesn't Khet care about how much money is being wasted on mobile games? Because Khet has no experience of money outside of earning a tiny minimum wage part time paycheck. It's like asking a 10 year old to pay taxes or mortgage/utility. They obviously know how many works, but they truly have no comprehension of what money means, so even if they were given access to the family finances, they'd have no idea how to budget or gauge what is/isn't reasonable to pay. Or along the same lines, how said 10 year old kid would probably consider someone "rich" if they were making like, $1,000 a month.

If Phil for whatever reason decided to stop handling the finances for a month and his phone broke so he couldn't send everything he received to Scopley, I think Khet would be overwhelmed by the sudden responsibility and have no idea what to do and would just keep buying Door Dash every single night until late notices came in for bills. Along the same lines, if you told Khet that Phil had wasted 200k on Champions, I'm not sure if she'd actually comprehend the weight of that, or even if she did, she'd buy into Phil's excuse that Phil was actually somehow saving money because he only bought during sales or whatever other common excuses/lies he uses

As for the call itself, I'm not shocked Khet has noise cancelling headphones. There's not a chance it's for neighbors, Phil would have absolutely complained about his neighbors being loud, and if it was really that much of an issue, surely, we'd have heard it on stream. So that means it's for Phil which...yeah, makes sense, Khet seems uninterested in his streams and wouldn't want to put up with all the snorting and ack ack acks. Although I will also add this makes PrudeSydePhil even funnier because he's scared of being overheard by someone who is actively going out of her way not to listen to him.

But if Phil isn't streaming, and especially at 2 AM, it makes sense she wouldn't be wearing them and would naturally overhear the call. I imagine when Phil isn't streaming, that house is pretty quiet since neither of them have anyone to talk to (including each other) so someone having a conversation would for sure stand out. Sleeping with noise cancelling headphones also sounds like all sorts of uncomfortable. I've slept with ear plugs before and that's doable, but...full on headphones? I know I just said not to apply logic to these two, but this is more a case of pointing out an obvious Phil lie. Khet clamping down on him also reinforces the idea that Khet isn't some trapped victim Phil kidnaps and holds hostages, but the one wearing the oversized extra stretchy pants in the household. If Phil is too afraid to even be on the phone when Khet is lurking in the house, there's no way he's forcing her to stay home and never stream/use social media etc.

Many are envious of Phil's 6 figure income for poorly streaming and playing video games. But, Phil has to dance around saying this because he knows it makes him look awful to any actual fans, yet he also needs to appear sussessful over his detractors and to fit in with bigger streamers like Sir Gold, which is why he bounces between the two in his yammering within seconds.

Other than that, he's coping hard. Even the biggest incel would run from his situation with FAT Kat now.

It wasn't in 2016 either. Phail only managed "conspicuous consumption" during the height of his spending with the aid of 14 credit cards, and even then there wasn't anything about his spending that screamed rich.

Without power leveling, I and Phail aren't dissimilar when it comes to incomes and I would hardly consider myself rich. And I don't live in a relatively HCoL area like Seattle/Renton which further erodes his margin, though I probably make up for it in taxes.

Phail can LARP as well off all he likes, but it comes at the expense of 100% of income going out the door as fast as it comes in.

I think it’s less that he wants to be good at video games and more that he just wants people to think that he’s good at video games and more importantly that they openly talk about it.

If Phil wanted to actually be good at games he’d either put his whole ass (unlikely) into it or find a genre at which he naturally excels (impossible; the closest we’ll get is fighting games and walking sims and we know exactly how good at those he is). It’s much easier for him to gaslight/bully people into just nodding their heads at him whenever he dies in Hollow Knight because ahnline inputs
