Ya know what is really interesting to me is how his real fans can watch/listen to things like this phone call, and it doesn't even register how much of a greedy, selfish, narcissist Phil is.
It shouldn't surprise me, they've been around for years, but it's still crazy to me that there are people who still fall for his blatant sympathy baiting.

I've had a pet theory for awhile that the dents don't really like Phil in the normal sense, but rather project their own situation onto his. True and honest DSP fans are mostly likely people that have spent the bulk of their life being called unlikeable retards, so when they see a "popular" streamer who's well known for being an unlikeable retard, they feel a kind of kinship with him. When they donate their SSDI to him every month, it's kind of like they're donating to themselves. It's the only way I can really fathom riding with Phil despite all the flashing neon signs that say he's a massive piece of shit.

There's some inconsistency/ mystery: Women are usually very diligent about household budgets. Given that she wears the trousers, why is she not going nuclear on him regarding the Champions spending? The most likely spending is roughly 200k, right? Does she close her eyes on this?

In my experience, a regular drunk is a lot like what you describe, they slur their words, they're uncoordinated, because they're not accustomed to the effects. An alcoholic drunk is so used to the liquor that it doesn't inebriate them to the same degree, and in fact may seem more intelligent than when sober because they're rewarding their body with what it's learned to crave, and that can be euphoric and stimulating. Phil is the type of alcoholic to be so far gone that he doesn't even register how much alcohol he's putting into his body, and how no normal person has to drink daily to feel alive. His brain's pickling in real time.
