/r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

In Other News i have some news:Someone made a TFR X UmaMusume submod for Japan and is actually Good Im not kidding.
I hope this mod replaces every mention of Horses and Cavarly with Horse Girls and we just never actually get into the nitty gritty of how society would change if horses never existed.

That would alter the Vaush ranch event too.

Looks like you're right. I did a bit of reading on the reddit and played a little more, looks like it's a fail-state only ending. I dislike it when mods do that, there should always be a way of beating it, even if it is almost impossible. Having a hard fail always bugs me.

Enlighten us, what's the GUI gimmick like?
The GUI gimmick is building railway infrastructure in provinces/regions that you conquer.

Completion of each level of railway grants you a number of civs, mils, supply hubs, infrastructure, dockyards etc. It also unlocks new focuses.
For example, getting the rail line up to level 1 in 2 provinces allows you to begin integration of some states.

The minigame itself doesn't require the player to do anything other than select a target to build in, so it's not like one of those awful Kaiserreich card games where you have to watch it like a hawk. It also only needs a small amount of PP to offset some of the poverty effects so it's not a blackhole of resources. It does stop you from manually building rail lines, but you get these and supply hubs from the mini-game itself and I never ran into a problem with supply. The only time where a player will need to build rail lines there is a focus that unlocks the option for an in-game year. It all works really well.

It's hard to accurately describe it with words and screenshots, but it plays really well and just fits the overall flow of the nation. It's what a GUI gimmick should be; it adds to the gameplay rather than being a substitute for gameplay.

Don´t worry you can actually fix it,you just need a focus that unlocks an Uma Advisor (Super Creek) and it would fix the pop growth issues with time.
As how exactly this would work i will show some canon events from her history.Ver archivo adjunto 8546199Ver archivo adjunto 8546201

In other news, seeing how the game is close to from being 10 years old, when do you think Paradox will announce HOI5?
And what would the game be like considering the hit and misses from EUV.

I think HOI5 is already in early stages of development, but a full announcement probably won't come until 2030. As for what it'll be like, it's dependent on who's making it.

Paradox Tinto? Ultimately mid, but leaning towards good.

The victoria 3 dev team? Coal darker than an ashy night.

The anime came first in 2018, the mobile game released in Japan in 2021, then brought over to the west in 2025.
Now that I think about I suddenly remember I saw a clip of this show.

In it, one of the horse girls says her father was a lonely rancher and her mother was a horse.

Maybe it was just an edit I hope?

Victoria 3 is like if you buy a zebra but receive a dead pig instead. Then 5 years later the salesman paints a few stripes on it, and the two of you desperately lie to each other and yourselves that the dead pig with painted stripes is indeed a zebra.

Yeah, it was an edit. I watched the first episode and I don't remember anything like that.

May God keep HOI5 far, far away from Wiz and his band of chucklefucks.

Interesting, was wondering how they made it work with the rail construction, but if they just disabled it then fair enough. I can see why they did it, just feels a bit odd, disabling a feature and then readding it with a new coat of paint, but if it works it works.
