UK Diversity drive to make Britain’s countryside ‘less white’ - Rural areas tasked with coming up with strategies to attract more ethnic minorities to reflect multicultural nation

The British countryside will be made into a less “white environment” under nationwide diversity plans.

Officials in rural areas, including the Chilterns and the Cotswolds, have pledged to attract more minorities under plans drawn up by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).

The plans follow Defra-commissioned reports that claimed the countryside would become “irrelevant” in a multicultural society, as it was a “white environment” principally enjoyed by the “white middle class”.

National Landscapes – previously called areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) – and their local councils have since committed to a number of diversity targets.

The Chilterns National Landscape team has set out proposals that include community outreach schemes to attract more Muslims to the area, particularly from nearby Luton.

More diverse staff will be recruited, marketing material will be produced featuring people visibly from ethnic minorities, and written in “community languages”.

Research has also been commissioned to support this work, some of which suggests that dogs should be kept under tighter control, as some groups are scared of them.

Malvern Hills National Landscape said in proposals: “Many minority peoples have no connection to nature in the UK because their parents and their grandparents did not feel safe enough to take them or had other survival preoccupations.”

It added: “While most white English users value the solitude and contemplative activities which the countryside affords, the tendency for ethnic minority people is to prefer social company (family, friends, schools).”

The area will aim to “develop strategies to reach people or communities with protected characteristics such as people without English as a first language”.

Nidderdale National Landscape in North Yorkshire warns that ethnic minority counties may face barriers to access, and have “concerns about how they will be received when visiting an unfamiliar place”.

The area has stated in its plan that it will “develop more inclusive information to reflect more diverse cultural interpretation of the countryside”.

Cranborne Chase National Landscape, which overlaps Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Somerset, will “reach people or communities with protected characteristics such as people without English as a first language”.

The management of Surrey Hills has found that “some demographics are still under-represented in our countryside”, while Suffolk and Essex Coast Heaths has concerns about “some sections of society that are under-represented when looking at the composition of visitors”.

Dedham Vale, the Suffolk valley that was the childhood home and inspiration to landscape painter John Constable, has pledged to “identify and seek to address barriers facing under-represented and/or diverse groups which limit equal access to the Dedham Vale National Landscape”.

Defra commissioned a report on the countryside in 2019, overseen by Julian Glover, author and former board member.

This report stated: “We are all paying for national landscapes through our taxes, and yet sometimes on our visits it has felt as if National Parks are an exclusive, mainly white, mainly middle‑class club.”

It also said: “Many communities in modern Britain feel that these landscapes hold no relevance for them. The countryside is seen by both black, Asian and minority ethnic groups and white people as very much a ‘white’ environment.

“If that is true today, then the divide is only going to widen as society changes. Our countryside will end up being irrelevant to the country that actually exists.”

One of the report’s key proposals to the Government was: “New long‑term programmes to increase the ethnic diversity of visitors.”

The then Tory government responded, saying that it would “expand community engagement including with reference to increasing the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of visitors”, along with other protected characteristics like disability.

Defra commissioned a second report for £108,000, titled “Improving the ethnic diversity of visitors to England’s protected landscapes”, which in 2022 found that “perceptions of protected landscapes as being for white people and middle-class people could be a powerful barrier for first-generation immigrants”.

The research showed that ethnic minorities believe visiting landscapes and was associated with “white culture”, and see “the English countryside as a white space, to which they did not belong”.

One concern was that rural facilities “cater to white English culture”, namely: “Protected landscapes were closely associated with ‘traditional’ pubs, which have limited food options and cater to people who have a drinking culture. Accordingly, Muslims from the Pakistani and Bangladeshi group said this contributed to a feeling of being unwelcome.”

This report has been cited in National Landscapes’ management plans across the country, including those governing the Cotswolds, which will review its provision to reach the “widest possible demographic”.

In addition to dealing with ethnic disparities in those visiting beautiful landscapes, management plans will also seek to improve disabled access – often by creating fully accessible paths – and to give young people an interest in the great outdoors.

The Government set out its own ambitions for access to the countryside in 2025.

A Defra spokesman said at the time: “We will work with government, public bodies, businesses, civil society and communities to support people engaging with nature in their own ways and encourage them to do this safely and appropriately through continued promotion of the countryside code.

“We want to equip communities with the resources, knowledge and skills so they can respond to societal and environmental issues in their neighbourhoods.”

They're more than welcome - as compost. I wasn't planning to become an alcoholic, but if the pubs are really such a deterrent to them pour me a pint, all day, everyday

This sentiment has been shat out, proliferated and allowed to pollinate with the required entities for years, by the way. Was only a matter of time before the guv'munt made it policy, to no meaningful opposition from a servile and impotent populus.

Heartening to see that in the interim leading up to this point, defiant and informed brits have been preparing accordingly, and have stepped-up their internet postings concerning meat-filled pastry products, potato snacks, and queuing.

What's the average bong excuse for this? Literally nothing to gain from this. Do they think this means more workforce or just "brown people good/diversity good"?

The plans follow Defra-commissioned reports that claimed the countryside would become “irrelevant” in a multicultural society, as it was a “white environment” principally enjoyed by the “white middle class”.
Ah yes, anything reserved for the white middle class will be irrelevant, because the lanyard wearing classes in the government and civil service will crush the middle class out of existence as a form of equalising of outcomes.
It added: “While most white English users value the solitude and contemplative activities which the countryside affords, the tendency for ethnic minority people is to prefer social company (family, friends, schools).”
Why don't the ethnic minority people adapt to the traditional activity? Rather than the traditional activity having to adapt to the ethnic minority?

I hate to say it but this is nothing new. There's been constant pushes to "diversify" the countryside for years. Reality is though these people who have crowded major cities for as long as I can remember literally HATE white people, they HATE Britain and they HATE the countryside and they hate everything about our culture.
They simply don't want anything to do with white British people in the countryside and there's no amount of bullshit forced diversification and anti-Whiteness that will convince them to go hike up a mountain or cycle in a woodland. It's really is not for them.
It's just a bit unnerving that these days they don't even shy away about their intention now. They want to completely wipe away the last thing that is actually White and British... And this comes on the backfoot of completely banning all forms of trail hunting which was probably the biggest attack on rural British culture in recent history, regardless of your opinion on hunting, that alone has turned a LOT of rural people to Reform literally just because they're the only party that at least pretends to care about the British.

We need a real life Amelia.

I'd imagine some might actually believe that "more brown people = more money = good for national parks" but this is so obviously ideologically and racially motivated as a systemic attack on White people that only a coward or a fool can deny it at this point.

National Trust

This one knew it was wrong.
I spent most of my life in Britain climbing mountains, exploring forests and spending time in quiet rural pubs and I never EVER saw a single black woman during my outings, not once. This is so impossibly diverse it makes Netflix adaptations look like a KKK recruitment drive.

Ironically the worst thing you can do for the environment is import a bunch of Jeets and Pakis.

Look at the absolute toxic sludge state of India. They literally drink and bathe in poo poo water and wonder why there's so many literal mutants being born there.

Outside of the big built up faux luxury cities in the Middle East, there's nothing but actual piles of garbage and rubble in the sand.

(Shout out to our resident ham Foodie Beauty for enlightening me on this wonderful aspect of Middle Eastern culture where she took us to the beautiful trash dunes and dead camel gardens of Kuwait!)

Also, it's bleak as a white person who wants to live rurally, isn't it? In America, people act like you're mutant inbred hick from Deliverance if you don't live in a big main city.

Now in England, you're a devil if you literally just want a quiet and safe life? Whites really are being oppressed, and I'm not even trying to shitpost.

Edited: fixed a typo I didn't see lol

The countryside is green though?

Also, this diversity drive will fail (as with all their stupid plans). Most Browns near me have little interest in the countryside and don't want to take part in this diversity 'racket'. They are quite happy to go to local parks or walks and don't want to go outside Cardiff to the Brecon Beacons etc. as it's 'too costly' and the roads are always 'too busy'.

For those Browns in the South Wales Valleys, they've had access to local hill-walks etc. for decades - however due to large scale pylons and turbines being compulsory built their access (as with everybody else's) is now going to be limited in parts.

That's great isn't it - make the countryside less white, but we'll restrict who can go where because of Wind Farms the size of The Shard.

Simple way to make these places less white - decapitate those who are proposing this nonsense and paint the places red with their blood as a warning to those might want to do the same in the future.

Asians aren't retarded to a suicidal degree like Europeans are. Stockholm Syndrome exists for a reason, and it came from possibly the most cucked country on the planet, not just Europe. I don't even hate those who push for Kalergi Plan as much as the spineless cucks who choose to do nothing about it, other than maybe weeping in a corner or acting tough on the internet. You deserve everything coming your way.

I lived in Africa for two years, you know.
So I understand.

Going there from Japan was fine.
It taught me a lot about life in various ways.

But you see,
that was only possible because the Japan I returned to was still the same Japan as before.

It’s wrong to bring African people into Japan and make them the main characters.

Are we supposed to adjust ourselves to their standards?

The infrastructure, the various systems, the culture and customs that the world envies—
all of these things that we (and our ancestors generation after generation) have carefully nurtured and passed down over time,

are we supposed to live according to African standards now?

Work = living

Isn’t it the same as
“living vibrantly” (活きる),
“living with style and spirit” (粋る)?

Especially for Japanese people, isn’t it?

So why are we handing over that “vibrant way of living”
to people from other countries?
Led by the government.
Led by the heavyweights of the economy.

The foundation is already completely off.
The very structure of our thinking is misaligned.

I am Japanese.

And as a Japanese person,
I lived with full pride and maximum effort for two years in Africa.

It made me happy whenever they came to understand even a little bit about “Japan.”

(Most of them see China, Japan, and Korea all as the same thing. They only understand something like “East Asia” at best.)

That was fine because it was a story that happened “where I went out to.”

So why does Japan have to completely destroy its own standards?
Why do we have to run the country with them as the main characters?
What is a “homeland”?
What is a “native country”?

Japanese people understand Japan far too little.
Japanese people belittle Japan far too much.
Japanese people are abandoning the value of Japan far too easily.

Let’s cherish it more.
This Japan of ours.

I’m sure all of you had grandparents too, right?
Of course, there were all kinds of circumstances.

But
looking back now, overall,

weren’t they people who lived with dignity?

Let’s protect that spirit with our own hands.

Sorry for suddenly writing such a long post.
Excuse the messy writing.

Let’s make Japan richer and stronger.
Let’s protect Japan!

Immigration has already reached a sufficient level.

So that Japan can remain Japan.

fixed links sorry

Every year I grow more convinced all the British men of vigor and character left for the colonies or died in the wars. Leaving behind only the timid, servile and unfit to produce the subsequent generations.
