I have an ifixit set that i use quite regularly, and honestly, I have no idea how you can improve on that. I can't imagine a better product in terms of price to quality ratio, it's just very good.
Even if LTT copied the design, they will never beat it in price, because Linus needs his money for a jet.

Nope, because the pilot needs to be type rated and certified for the aircraft, he needs rest and to review the flight beforehand and all that stuff takes hours and hours,he needs to be on retainer alongside the hangar maintenance crew, you can't just call up a Dassault falcon crew on speed dial and have them fly or drive to your plane overnight

Those guys are flying you and your family at 600mph at 40.000 feet for 4-8 hours a day, and before you are even waking up at your hotel for your post lunch flight, they are awake calculating the trip, the fuel load and the 20% emergency reserve if there's bad weather or the airport is closed, they are reviewing any possible maintenance log warnings and then they physically inspect the aircraft for 10-15 minutes to check out every flap, actuator, gear, tyre pressure, then spending another half a hour doing a pre flight checklist and turning the plane on.

Here's one of them flying into telluride, one of the hardest airports to land in america, it's near the luxury ski resorts in colorado, so he needs to fly low between mountains until he spots and lands visually only with no air trafic control tower, so both pilots need to do every single shit needed to land and make sure there's no airplane in the way up until they park the plane and shut the engines off.

This is what the maintenance crew will do on Linus plane if it wasn't already performed before the sale, and every 18-24 months from now on, they will spend thousands of man hours stripping the plane bare and checking it to see if there's any degradation or damage, because we don't want a plane to desintegrate at 600mph or fall just after take off into a busy intersection with 10 tons of kerosene onboard.

Even in not aviation industries where it concerns a work/employer vehicle, particularly one that will transport "guests" inspections are way more frequent than normal.

Think about busses and trains and shit, they really get checked from top to bottom because the consequences of failure are huge. A lot of it has to do with insurance also and keeping shit checked regularly is a requirement of being insured.

If an "asset" falls out of insurance due to retardation it costs even more to get it back up to speed.

With aviation that requirement is increased way more.

I haven't watched much LTT, but with the controversy vaguely remember seeing a WAN clip where he was talking about making a video about vibe-coding (don't think it was made though). Because of that I watched few videos out of curiosity.

First this DIY or Buy one. It didn't do as well views wise, but is a neat enough concept and a nice contrast to "Look at this new expensive shit I bought"

Then this modding one. Not only is the editing horrible as they cut away often and show barely any side by sides, but the worst part is, that it seems like they didn't want to invest any time into this. I swear, that I made Skyrim look better than this a decade ago. Also the guy hosting is a bore. @LinusTech should beg on his knees to get the old hosts back.

Then the last one was the one about "Best GPU for Linux". It overall felt kind of lazy and badly researched. Just one Google search would've told him to not use and LTS version of Ubuntu.
