Sincerely, KAMGO is extremely lame for how much Fanny hypes it up, and Kate Anderson is one of the most pathetic pickmes I've come across - and there are a lot of chicks writing insufferable pickmes in Fanny's orbit, so that's saying something. (Polarka definitely writes her own who are also self-inserts, but she seems a bit more honest about it at the very least.)

You have this bad bitch who gets enough action to cheat on any partner she has, she's a tough and talented lawyer, she's clever as a whip and then finally when it comes to the man of her dreams, she's the one that got away; he didn't grow bored of her and discard her like useless trash (which would be vastly more accurate to a man like Cyrus), she was the transformative, underage Aphrodite that rejected him as a worshiper at her temple! And for the rest of his life, there will be a Kate-shaped hole in his heart, a part of himself that once belonged to only one other woman, thus establishing a permanent rivalry for Cyrus' affections for Lynn even long after Kate is gone. Genuinely pathetic on the parts of both characters, and not even in a really compelling way.

Lynn and Kate, as characters, are very indicative of Fanny's overall attitude around women, but it's also telling that these are two completely and totally unappealing women - scarred, arrogant, unempathetic, unpopular and antisocial - and they are both the only women that Cyrus, a sadistic sociopath, can be mustered to feel anything gentle for. When you boil down Fanny's works like you're making bone broth, she has the most tragic and basic of tastes. Damn, Fanny, you can aim higher than this! At least imagine that a dude with a six pack and a six figure job might want you instead of Wasian pedophile Cartman!

It's not recent, just more exaggerated as of late than it used to be. She's trying to have her cake and eat it too: we know humans IRL don't act like that. Cyrus would have escalated with or without Lynn. Cyrus chose to escalate because of Lynn, but he could have chosen not to either. He could have chosen to not be a pedophile to teens in his class. He could have had all this talk with Lynn and even if she encouraged him to do something, he could take the moral route of "mmmm nah that's a bad idea". Even if he has low empathy and morality, he can still control himself. Lynn may have encouraged him to get rougher, but Cyrus was already choosing low IQ impulsive testosterone-fueled MALE violence choices. This guy is no different than any other sex criminal, he is just written by a woman who is still 15 at heart and can't comprehend her blorbo lost all plausible deniablity when he planned and committed a rape.

There's a romantic thing for Fanny of a woman making a man worse, but worse in the way she wants and she still ultimately controls him. He darts to Lynn's side whenever she might actually be hurt and he respects the boundaries she wants. The hidden truth is that most people like this are absolutely dysfunctional. Not in the sexy way, but in the "how were you so petty and evil you did something this retarded to get caught or suffer consequences from" type way. They lose friends just as fast as they can make them and other people go "Don't trust them they swindled me" and are avoided by others. Actually, do Cyrus and Lynn even have friends as a decoration in Fanny's writing? The big problem with Cy being any sort of charismatic is that you talk to a low empathy low inhibitions for X amount of time, they eventually say something creepy and off putting even if they're charming. There's only so long the mask works. And Lynn sounds like an absolute pain to be around: a judgemental person who bitches about everything unless Cy is there. I know Fanny thinks that the two don't need anyone but each other, but it would help round them out if they had any on and off friends or more reactions from others on their personalities.
