Either way all this current shit ICE is doing is only going to last at most the next three years, possibly shorter if and when Dems take back both the House and Senate and crack the whip on the Trump Administration. All the current, televised terror that ICE is wreaking upon Minneapolis exists solely to serve as violent pornography to sate the desires of the 1/4th of his base that wants nothing else than to see other people suffer.

And that keeps the conversation from actually going anywhere.
These morons helped get Trump back in the White House for a legally guaranteed four year term, and only AFTER he started Gestapofying ICE and driving up prices via tariffs like he fucking promised, they're withholding their votes and crashing the midterms. The American voter has the memory of a goldfish, yet somehow the Republican/Trump voter barely manages to have the situational awareness of a gnat.
There aren't even 100 million immigrants in this country. There are 51.9 million. Unless you go back a generation or two and total their numbers up historically, in which case your Italian grandparents count.
