A guy at one of my dad's halfway houses had a granddaughter who was abducted by the cartel because she was hanging out in phoneix mind you, with someone who was in debt to them. The Cartel killed the dude, took the two girls, got them addicted to drugs, and turned them into prostitutes. She was found six months later in Mexico and hasn't recovered.

The great thing about 40k’s concept is the idea that you can make mostly whatever your idea of Your Dudes is as canon with only general restrictions. Because the lore is mostly ‘what people want others to believe is what is real’ or whatever basically. Like two series can comprehensively negate each other but both be valid because they are telling the story as the story teller wants you to hear it not how it really happened.
