I think that every business leader in Minnesota both remembers 2020 and doesn't buy the "UM akshually this is TRUMP's fault!" excuses, and they've told Tim to make nice or they will do really nasty things. For example, a gas pipeline just blew up in Minnesota last week. Maybe the gas company decides to shut down out of an abundance of caution and people no longer have heating in -20 degree weather? Depends on jurisdiction, but generally speaking 24-72 hours for most matters without an arraignment. Right to a speedy trial and all that. Oddly enough that's the most common reason people get out of some pretty foul shit -- they get held too long without charge or their attorney refuses to waive their right to a speedy trial and the court literally can't schedule the first hearing soon enough to meet statutory requirements. Jeopardy attaches too -- they don't get a do-over. Fun fact: this is why judges get REALLY pissed when defense attorneys won't waive the right to a speedy trial (you're screwing with the docket schedule, which, to be blunt, isn't the defendant's fucking problem anyway and the court can go fuck itself), and the only time it happens is when the attorney is 150% certain of an acquittal or dismissal (because the judge will absolutely ride your ass on every little detail throughout).
