The Republican Congress doesn't care about insurrection. They only care about getting another tax cut passed and shipping more weapons to Ukraine. Federal judges are lousy with Marxists and tend to let these jackasses out of prison or strike down any serious effort the administration makes to bring order. They've got to be kicking around options, but they know whose district they're in and and what the judges are likely to do.
On the local subreddits of cities where ICE is present (which is most major cities) you see post from minorities asking if its safe to go about their business if they are legal. They are told insane lies by white liberals and scared into being prisoners in their own homes. Liberals are forcing the people they claim to care about to live in fear for sake of optics.
Antifa never organized "direct actions" to try to "unarrest" illegal aliens being deported, blockade ICE officers, or otherwise inhibit their activities. If they'd done the things they're doing in Minnesota now, it's very likely somebody would have eaten a bullet.

I can understand that, and certainly we all remember Rittenhouse, but it is weird to me why, if you have a gun, you would get in the way of LEOs and put yourself in a situation that, at best, is going to get you arrested. Everything involving I.C.E. in the last month has simply demonstrated to me that these people have a death wish and the self-preservation of a slug in salt.

I see it like this. He was looking for trouble. Forgot about the gun arguments for a second. Why the fuck was he there? I feel people are getting so incensed about the gun, that they fail to consider that he was there with bad intentions. Did things go as planned for him? He's dead, so no, but he was clearly ready for something to go down. He could have just stayed home and played Xbox or whatever, but he decided to spend his last day on earth writing checks he couldn't cash with cops.
