Oh ok, that makes sense. It's a storage issue. I on the other hand don't have my phone out all the time I just have situational awareness. So I would have gotten that shooting video in good quality but you probably wouldn't have seen the build up to it.

It's possible he had some group affiliation, but I think it's more likely that they just have a knee-jerk classification of anyone harassing ICE agents as "lawful observer/responder/whatever" because it gives the audience a higher starting assumption of the person. Oh, a lawful observer, you say? Like a professional reporter or something? Well, ICE really shouldn't be pushing around those people! They're just doing their job of documenting things!

Edit: I'll rephase that a bit: Either option is possible, but the important thing to keep in mind is "lawful observer" or whatever term has no actual meaning. Any random fuckhead screaming "Shame! Nazi!" at ICE agents while recording is engaged in "lawful" "observing". So, just because they apply a term like that, doesn't automatically entail anything.
