Also, as a career video producer (educational stuff), his autistic sperging over using multiple camera angles and editing was remarkable. Normal people understand that's done to make talking head footage more interesting.

I think many people look at Phil's story because we are all desperate not to end up like him.

I do know this is the case for me. I peek in at Phil a bit as a cope ("I may be bad, but I'm not DSP!") AND a bit as motivation ("Jesus Christ, I need to get on the ball. I can't end up like DSP!")

God, I wish I had the wherewithal to add that "he's fat, he farts, he snorts" onto that "PHIL'S FAT, PHIL'S A FAGGOT, PHIL'S A LIAR, PHIL'S A BEGGAR" clip

I know this one. It's empathy. One of the things I've always found fascinating about DSP is how much closer he is to normal than a lot of lolcows. He is FAR from normal, but he is closer to baseline human than someone like Chris-Chan, and more relatable than someone like BMJ. We never really empathize with people like Chris, because we couldn't have ended up like him. He is a product of so many weird, fucked-up things that just didn't happen to us. In the case of DSP we know that we COULD have ended up like him. Phil is you in a Christmas-Carol-style alternate universe where you did everything wrong and nothing correct. If we never made an effort, if we never accepted accountability, if we never held ourselves responsible for our own lives, if we refused to grow up even just a bit, if we blindly indulged our base instincts with no concern for others or ourselves, we could have ended up just like him.

So, yeah, what you're feeling is normal human empathy. You can see how his entire situation is his own fault. He was given everything on the proverbial silver platter and threw it in the trash can. He had more opportunities, and more luck than any of us and we can see how every step of the way he chose to wreck it all by being a greedy retard.

The only difference between any of us and DSP is the choices we made. If this doesn't occasionally make you feel an intense, crushing feeling like you narrowly avoided being hit by a speeding bus, then I would be concerned. Otherwise, it simply indicates that you are still sane.

Yeah I have to push back on this bit, not that I disagree with the whole point.

Phil, at his core, is an asshole. A bitter selfish narcissistic asshole. He's been this person probably his whole life. I don't think it's choice-based, it's a combination of never facing any consequences for being this way as a kid and refusing to change the few times he's had a mirror held up to him later in life.

While I'll agree that he tends to make choices that are bad, he makes choices that feed the bitter selfish narcissistic asshole every fucking time. He makes the wrong choice to normal people seeing from afar, but he thinks he's making the right choice every time. He's also extremely bitter and hates the world, so a lot of these choices are feeding into that side.

And the part I can't agree with... the difference between Phil and people who aren't sociopaths is that while making all of these life choices, we tend to think about how they affect somebody other than ourselves. Even if you make the wrong choice, if you're doing it for the right reasons, that can be forgiven. Phil not only makes the wrong choice, but his sole goal is himself. Every bad thing that has happened to Phil Burnell is due to a wrong choice he made that he made because it was to benefit him and him alone. Which in a way is so much funnier because you don't have to have empathy for him, being a selfish asshole while making the wrong choices in life is pretty fucking hilarious.

As someone who didn't see the stream, is there a moment where he accidentally showed the options and it showed he was on easy or something? It's believable, but it's funnier to actually see it.

Sometimes it feels implausible that a single person can have so many different character flaws.

We all act like assholes sometimes. We all have moments that we're rude, self-centered, jealous, paranoid, negative, narcissistic. The fact Phil is all of these things yet has absolutely no idea why he's perceived that way is what makes him a fascinating psychological study (and a lolcow).

I'd also rule it out because needing the shots would mean going to an actual doctor's office like once a week. He's way too busy on his day off dood. Plus a doctor might tell him to stop drinking and eating fast food.

Not true, you can get it through a video appointment and never leave your house. Perfect for Phil.

The one thing I will say though, those drugs make you hate eating. Everything is unappealing and tastes bleh. Watching how Phil attacks his Jersey Mike's, I don't see that in him.

Yeah it's always the game and the people lol not Phil. A pushing 40 year old man who is only interesting when he is getting into drama with other pushing 40 year old men playing games. Speaking a bit personally about Arc Raiders i am not a huge fan of Extraction Shooters and the game actually looked kind of interesting when i watched my friend play it. But Phil plays everything the same way and wonders why people don't wanna show up.

My theo theory is that OIC barely donates nowadays. Unless he's buying used accounts, I think his donos are minimal and mostly done through tips.

What do you mean by youtube tracker? If you mean on the spreadsheet, it's one of the tabs on the bottom.
