Can confirm. Friend works in insurance, Teslas and any other electric cars cost way more on insurance. The reason is they are heavier and can do more damage to other vehicles and if they get damaged it’s usually total loss because it’s too expensive to repair the battery.

Also if they get damaged badly on the road, it’s a huge environmental hazard and fire has to spray some special retardant or let the vehicle burn out because batteries.
Yeah, it looks like EV’s are about 50% higher on premiums and FSD doesn’t actually have a glaringly obvious effect and might actually serve to lower EV premiums

@StudMccool its not that the US manufacturing industry is boutique, it’s that most of what we do isn’t for store shelves. We’re more likely to make the shelves than stock them.

One of the biggest areas of our manufacturing is manufacturing manufacturing equipment

Do you browse Etsy a lot or something?

There's a weird mentality that FSD must mean EV. I guess cause Tesla is so far ahead, but gas cars can be just as FSD as anything else. Or even the hydrogen dream.

I don’t know. I’m conflicted, but the future gay cyber world we have can’t really get worse.
Nobody would mind mass surveillance if it was used for the benefit of the people who the government is supposed to serve.

Unfortunately that never feels like it's the case.

Car shutting down because it detects I'm drunk and I might kill myself? Sure! Car shutting down because I said "nigger" earlier? Fuck you.

Clinton accelerated it, but the last year the US ever had a trade surplus was 1979, and whatever other retarded shit Carter was doing, he was also implementing the framework that Kissinger and Nixon established.

What happened was Mao died in 1976 and Deng took power. The following relaxation and stabilization of China, and its ensuing economic growth, is something the USA had no ability to stop.

That is what you don't understand. You think seem that if Nixon hadn't established a relationship with China, China's population would have just stayed face-down in the dirt forever, doing nothing, getting murdered in appalling numbers, etc. We had no power to stop Mao from dying or prevent Deng from steering China away from endless chaos and into making steel, textiles, and other low-end commodities that they began exporting in the late 70s and 80s. They weren't stealing US IP en masse until the 1990s after they bribed Clinton. Without Nixon, all that would have happened is China's rise would have strengthened the Soviet economy, as it would have been Moscow alone, not Moscow and Washington, influencing Beijing.

China would have risen as a player wholly hostile to America. It's something we couldn't have afforded against the backdrop of the Cold War.

Guys I know we havent seen Hillary in a while and I have PHENOMENAL news

She left politics COMPLETELY, she bought some sea food restaurant and just runs that full time these day

she looks GREAT to, may have had some work done

I understand perfectly well, but for instance, we could’ve bailed on Taiwan back in the 1950’s instead of furnishing them with the first ever air to air missiles used in combat if the sole goal was to avoid China’s wrath

But the same quality you’re referring to meaning they would inevitably rise, a large, starving population, is also the same thing that would fuck us over if we dropped our trade barriers and just let a communist, read: state controlled economy, subsidize a hostile takeover of global manufacturing

So don’t tell me what I don’t understand

There was an arbitrage opportunity created, and the question is who saw it and who didn’t.

I don't think you really understand how much of our government's legal system is funded by traffic stops. If manual driving were banned, we're facing an entire restructuring and likely shutdown, of a vast portion of the entire justice system.
Okay so that would actually be the most amusing job loss brought on by AI. Watching the government struggle to fund itself when it can't just prey upon driving mistakes or speed traps. I mean they will probably just raise taxes, but watching the ticks starve on the robot dog would be funny.

Truman in 1953 is not Nixon in 1972.

We didn't actually "just drop our trade barriers" until the 1990s.

You don't understand the Cold War, Nixon's foreign policy, or even the timeline of US-China policy changes. You keep confusing the 90s and the 70s. You've got a graph and the usual boring extremely online right winger tropes.

LastStand is going to be gooning for days.

Also is she not in contempt of congress?

If Trump locks her up...omfg.

The issue with invoking the insurrection act or other more escalatory measures is that the left has practiced the "I'm not touching you" doctrine of protest and obstruction since the civil rights movement. Arguably ever since the more violent aspects of the labor movement were suppressed in the early 20th century. In any case, they are organized and have been doing this shit for a long time. They have lawyers from 'civil liberties' groups like the ACLU and NLG who will defend them for free and coordinate bail funds, along with professional activists and 'community organizers' employed by non-profits who will provide medical supplies, food, water, etc. free of charge. Many of them are 'paid' by the state and local government but I think people do themselves a disservice when they discount all of these people as paid protestors. They are ideologically committed to their cause and are willing to put themselves in harm's way and enact violence to further it. They should not be dismissed as something that can be solved by freezing George Soros' bank account. The tactics they use are designed to allow for friendly local officials, judges, etc. to find "reasonable" excuses for not cracking down on their activity. They fucked up with the church occupation since that was unambiguously a federal crime, ironically thanks to attempts to crush the pro-life activist movement in the 90s, and more generally federal civil rights legislation as a whole. Arguably they fucked up before that, losing control over their pet retards and having too many of them engage in clearly unambigious illegal conduct like assault.
Trump can get around all this by suspending habeas corpus in Minneapolis. No activist judge, ACLU, or reasonable excuse can do anything to secure bail or release for them then.
That can really hurt public image on both sides though.

Edit: Okay, I actually submitted that one so nobody else should. I went with this:

fucking fascists almost caught me taking this. i was at the 711 by my place before work when they came in (i kept it cool and said 'hey' so they didnt think i was against them, honestly felt sick). ngl im still shaking. there is definitely a somali day care right around here and after that nazi fraud documentary im seriously so scared for them. i wanted to drive over and warn them but ice already saw me so i googled 'how do i stop ice from abducting my neighbors' and found this site. keep fighting. and THANK YOU

No, but Clinton screwed us with China Most Favored Trade and NAFTA. 2 long term hits. And H1B also really got started with him too. Once BS like that gets entrenched it's nearly impossible in the US 'democracy' system to undo.
Absolutely, if clinton was a ccp agent I don't know how he could have done more for them. I didn't mean to give the impression that clinton was blameless, if I did I'm sorry. But Nixon deserves a bit of scorn as well.
