Self driving cars are going to run away within 10 years anyway. The only question is if manual ones will be allowed on the roads at all. I saw already insurance companies are talking 1/2 cost for self driving since.. Yes, they are far safer than having humans behind the wheel eventually no matter how much people will complain.

Human driving days are limited.
That was a failed insurance company with one of the worst loss ratios in the industry doing a marketing stunt.

Human drivers are extremely safe if you exclude all the third-worlders and drunks.
I think the focus towards old people has to do with attempting to live through Bidenflation on fixed incomes. Like, I’ve been struggling financially and don’t have a LOT of options, but some geroncrats have actually no options but to shake their canes at programs starting with “medi”
Literally everyone has a fixed income. Retired people did well under Bidenflation because their assets inflated in value faster than their expenses. It’s the working guy who didn’t get a large raise and doesn’t have a large portfolio who got hurt the most.

It’s tone deaf to brag about it as part of a “working families” bill. The original promise was also “no tax on social security” which Congress walked back into this $6000 credit, so even the seniors whose vote this is supposed to buy aren’t happy.

Be careful with the hating the old though as most of it is just thinly veiled anti-White hatred.

It's all human error anyway. You said take about 50% of the drivers now, and even then it's still mostly human error.

There's very little downside to full self driving cars down the road. I know luddites hate it, but it's coming.

It's because probably half of boomers if not more have 90% of their networth in these ridiculous mcmansions.

To the boomer a house isn't housing. It's a reverse mortgage machine to fund cruises, day drinking, and traveling to blue cities to protest orange Hitler.

Boomers treat their houses like 401ks which is why they get so hysterical about even the most minor of property taxes.

Aizen going after fellow gay Newscum, makes Newscum realize with his gay kneepads he actually was trapped in Kanzen Saimin.

"Nani, you mean my Trump kneepads......were actually me sucking Soros dick????"

Might as well keep going with the anime for this post, more Cherry Blossoms for JD Vance anime cosplay! Anna Paulina Luna as Yoruichi!

I have a Tesla, a Volvo, a Range Rover and a Ferrari. The Tesla, which has FSD, has an insurance premium that is twice the premium of the other cars.

(Example: if the Volvo, Range Rover, Ferrari are each $100 a month, the Tesla is $200)

I’m the working guy, but like, if my dad was still alive, he never had a big portfolio and every time he got a raise, property taxes went up.

The boomers with McMansions are going to hit a wall since newer builds are lately regarded as shit and prices are killing demand

57 Republicans voted with the Democrats to keep a Biden-era regulation mandating that new cars shut themselves off if the driver is sleepy or drunk:

These fucking faggots should NEVER have any say when it comes to technology, because they ALWAYS find someway to make it worse than they already were.

"Cameras everywhere that can spy on you so you have no privacy? SURE, JAM THAT SHIT INTO MY VEINS BITCH!!!"
"Cars that do whatever the fuck they want to do and send the data to companies? FUCK YEA GIMMIE MORE!!"
"Give AI companies more power to do whatever the fuck they want even though there's MOUNTAINS of evidence showing how fucking evil they all are? OMG YES LET'S FUCKING GO!!!!"

This is why we can't have nice things anymore.

Human driving days are limited. It's like with planes, the more automated over decades, the safer. Almost all accidents in vehicles are human error.
Yeah, as you point out the insurance will be the deal breaker. There's no need to make driving manually illegal if the insurance is so expensive that only the wealthy can afford it.
Add in the paperwork burden and it will be analogous to purchasing machine guns: you can do it if you have a clean record, submit to the background check, wait for approval and have enough money to justify it. All of which means very few people will do it.
Fundamental misunderstanding of what happens during global warming chuuuud
We're calling it "Climate Change" now so that anything is evidence: hot weather, cold weather, unusually mild weather. That's all evidence, Chud!

Double jeopardy is unconstitutional, and not guilty verdicts don't get appealed.
Double jeopardy only applies to retrying a case with the same evidence. If new evidence appears, like a recorded confession, for instance, then they can Try him again. Basically, this is a job for James O'Keefe in a wig.
