Iirc, I thought that most Afrikaners are of British decent but speak with an Afrikaner dialect, which is heavily Dutch. Boers, as a people group, really don’t exist anymore and have been integrated into the larger “Afrikaner” grouping, meaning that some Afrikaners have a mix of British (typically English) and Dutch blood. I generally refer to Whites of South Africa who speak with the Afrikan vernacular as being Afrikaner.
