When first came back into office I believe his desire for it was genuine but after not receiving it and dealing with constant setbacks in his peace mediation efforts (Russia vs. Ukraine, Thailand vs. Cambodia) maybe he just doesn't care about it anymore. He also received that FIFA Peace Prize which may of effected his desire to get the Nobel Peace Prize.
