Yep. Boomers grew up terrified of nukes, having to practice nuclear bomb drills and living in fear that literally all of human existence could end any day. After the Cuban Missile Crisis the notion that international politics should be forced to change was killed by fear, which was to the benefit of so many bad people.

As the Cold War becomes a more and more distant memory younger generations are frustrated at how little we do to change things for the better.
