It seems to me that a non-insignificant portion of the userbase are bitter, disaffected faggots who have unpopular opinions that they are passionate about, but nothing really of substance to say that you couldn't already get from mainstream social media. They're likely here because they were banned from other, even worse websites and have convinced themselves it was because they're "rebellious free thinkers" and not "too retarded for xitter".

They do not work, and they should be banned everywhere they are found. They will turn the site into Reddit 2.0. Something awful troons were from containment threads, r/shitredditsays was a containment sub. Enh, debate and disagreement (caveat: thoughtful and in good faith, which I recognize is a stretch in some instances) is not inherently bad. Having people disagree with you SHOULD challenge you and thereby hone your defensive skills and refine your views. I understand that some people are more comfortable in echo chambers, and that some panic if a situation is best served by objective, good-humored, unthreatened consideration of facts (or the ability to discern them rationally), is best served by good manners, or presents a challenge to comforting slogans and feelings of finally belonging; but rational and nuanced debate is generally a good thing. If all or most could engage for the fun, learning, competition, and sport of it rather than as an outlet for all of their disappointments in life, it would be (and sometimes is) a good thing. It's a shame about Ray.

The real answer to the original OP presented is any thread where you get an autoban just for posting any kind of dissenting opinion. That includes the MHT, but not the WHT. Regardless of whatever the topic is, if posting a dissenting opinion specifically ends in a ban due to the rules of the thread- it is officially an echo chamber. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. There are several threads on this site like this but very few of them have codified stated rules.
