New York and in fact everywhere east of the Mississippi has the same humid, skeeter filled summer we get in Florida, much to my chagrin. We just get 9 months of it vs 3.

Kansas and Nebraska have lower humidity, but 105°+ temps to compensate for it. For reference, that's 5 degrees less than a summer day in Palmdale - with humidity.

Iirc, about 6% of households were slave-owning. 80% owned one slave who, if female, was live in housekeeper who did the women's work while the Lady of the house spent her time socializing, or if a male, worked in the man's business as an assistant. The fact that having a slave to do the housework was such a status symbol for women was probably the primary source of support for slavery. Every woman who didn't have a slave wanted one.

Whoa buddy let me correct the record

Here in NH our average daily high in summer is six entire degrees lower than Florida

Our average is lowered because when it rains it can drop into the 70’s, but yeah. Sunny summer days tend to be high humidity and in the 90’s, and it gets into the 100’s a couple times a year

NH highest recorded temp: 106
Lowest: -50

Far from the dumbest thing Gavin has said, honestly. He's right. Trump has absolutely humiliated the world's governments. He's exposed them as ineffective, inefficient, and frankly how pathetic they really are. They can and do just roll over. I hope everyone is taking a lesson from this. The US really is the biggest dog and the others really just don't matter.
 
Had some strange vivid dreams last night with Tim Walz… ritual sacrifice… Sweden… Mithraic star maps painted on the ceiling of his palatial mansion… I have a foreboding feeling. Something about him is rotten to the core.

Candace Owens has for some reason convinced the GOP that ugly black women are le heckin based and Americans can't wait to vote for them which is strange because on top of being absolutely batshit insane to my knowledge Candace Owens has never held elected office anywhere.
