I love the whole Denmark thing because it did something that I thought was impossible.
Made the EU and it's vassal states believe they can and should defend themselves.
The price tag for 80 years of defending them being Greenland, they sperg out. No "We'll pay you later" like they've been doing.
So they immediately start sperging how the ENTIRE EU has a military larger than the US (On paper and if you look at things sideways and do the multiple accounting trick) and how they have A MILLION MORE SOLDIERS THAN AMERICA!
It has the EU vassals all screeching they don't need the US.
It has the EU screeching that they'll defend Ukraine, who they've always been friends with, from evil Russia!
Closing European bases has ALWAYS been a bitch. When you close the base, there's all kinds of wild shit that the host country demands, up to and including scraping the dirt down to the bedrock, loading it up for transport, bringing in new dirt, grass and flower seed it.
But this way it's just pull out forces and leave instead of having to pay them for 10 years as if we were still renting the bases (What's that? You thought we had the bases for free? Oh, no. We pay RENT on the land, then the buildings that WE BUILD add to the rent, the infrastructure we build adds to the rent. My favorite was how one nation demanded that the on-post power plant service THE VILLAGE before the base in the event of a power loss) and all of that shit.
It really is already winning.
The EU, who has to arm their troops with brooms, who runs out of jet fuel 3 days into a 6 day mission, who runs out of ammo 12 hours into a 72 hour mission, who has tanks that don't move and don't have crews, is now the equal to the US army and they're going to but ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS into the total EU military budget.

He did it after the EU announced their whole ONE HUNDRED BILLION EUROCUCKBUCKS military budget.
And also remember, a LOT of those bases are in Western Germany, in Western Europe. Poland has our newer, more modern bases, since Germany was refusing to let us upgrade and modernize as far back as 1980. (Missile defense radar will make that base a target of the USSR and endanger German civilians, so you can't put in a new radar or the power plant to power it)
Either we get Greenland, which would be hilarious, or the EU tosses us in the briar patch and leaps on the two dozen Arabic tar babies.
