. I don't even understand why you would want your brain to work this way
I can tell you from first hand experience
many of them don't.
Not only did my own brain work this way for many years, all of my acquaintance's did and i sort of watched and analyzed them and why they think what they think, when they get quiet, when they get loud, what they tell me in 1 on 1 convos vs big group settings.
There are many different reasons but I'm convinced the primary one is an age old classic that has been ruling people for thousands of years which is
fear of ostracization. Everyone wants a tribe and when you think the buy-in to your tribe is to agree to something you'll do it without a second thought. I firmly believe every person on earth has one or two "thoughts" they've had that would not align with what their tribe finds acceptable that we keep bottled up. I think a lot of the posturing and trying to be the most liberal or most anti racist are sometimes people trying to "cleanse themselves of sinful thoughts" so to speak.
They're not trying to convince you, they're mostly trying to convince their own tribe, and above all that
they're trying to convince themselves. Think of a gay dude talking about how much pussy he scores. It's one reason you don't see Christians fall for this as much, Christianity puts all of your natural human guilt into a basket and says
"yep. You've got all of that but it's existential, it's inescapable, you can do things here or there to improve but you'll never be perfect and that's okay. And most important of all nobody except god has a right to judge you for it because they can't fix it, only god can. Whatever they're offering you in exchange for bending the knee is a lie and a trick."
None of this is to say there aren't die hard believers, of course there are and they're the string pullers, but they're a much smaller % than the plebs who are being wrangled in via the emperor's new robes effect. At a subconscious level these people are frustrated and angered at the knots they have to tie themselves into. That builds up over time.
The current left is fundamentally anti-fun. They want everyone to be miserable all the time and avoid this, don't buy that, don't ask this, etc. All of that shit is
painful, if somebody gets a cigarette put out on them everytime they go to a party they're eventually just going to associate that party with misery and avoid it. The current left doesn't reward people with pleasure for bending the knee, it doesn't defend them when they mess up, and it punishes them constantly. Even in clown world this isn't sustainable long term ESPECIALLY for young people.
Obligatory: Do not get complacent, many of those die hard believers mentioned above are still out there and they have many plays at their disposal, but the average citizen has a lot more going on in their head than you would believe. That's how somebody like me goes from being a screeching radical leftist in 2008 to posting on kiwifarms in 2026.
No seriously, i did it all, ban the rich, communism rules, all ypipo racis, all foreign cultures good, America causes all problems on earth and Europe is only civilized because of colonial stealing, etc. I walked the walk and it led me here with you guys.
