During Covid when I did house visits this woman was clawing at her face while I was there asking if she could take her mask off. After I told her she could, she remarked I must see a lot of people uncomfortable and "unable to breath". I told her the largest group I've noticed with difficulty are the mentally handicapped and the mentally disturbed. She didn't catch it but it made me chuckle.

Theres certainly an argument to be made where people should have limits on their spending and consumerism. Nobody misses the old days where plastic pans poisoned people and food was shit, tradies were dropping dead from asbestos and a workplace injury means you're fucked for life. Delivery apps and network subscriptions didn't exist back then. A TV would cost $400-$600, which is over $3000 now. The TVs I have installed in every bedroom totals to less.
People can cut all the nice food and gadgets out of their lives, without a decent job, they're not gonna afford a house. End of the story. There's only so much money one can save by being penny pinching first generation Chinese immigrants. Life is supposed to improve, I don't give a fuck about how back during the Great Cultural Revolution, my grandparents had to pick potatoes (they were college professors, ie the ones Mao hated the most, and still their lives were far better than your average peasant). They should be happy because my life is significantly better than theirs. Additionally, MY TAX MONEY is also going towards infrastructure and systems that provids them with better healthcare and transport. Did they ever pay any taxes that went towards their parents?

Frivolous spending beyond one's means is also hardly a "poor man's concern". There's plenty high income folks who live by the paycheque as well. I know someone who makes double mine while struggling with rent payments, while I own my property while drinking coffee and matcha daily.
The cost of properly being out of reach to the common man does not excuse the inflation caused by horrible policies made by an egomaniachal child molester. I feel sorry for anyone who has some legitimate reason for wearing something like an N95, like they're immunocompromised, or a normal mask just because they don't want to give people the flu, because of these deranged faggots who go into a seething rage any time they see a mask.
It kind of is if you do it legally. Lots of Latinos legally here who went through all the paperwork and bureaucracy genuinely hate the illegals who come here to commit crimes, because they end up taking a lot of the backlash when they're actually contributing to America.

I know someone who wore a mask to the supermarket a few months ago because she had the flu, and there was a man who stared at her and seemed to follow her around until she left. The zero covid community is very cringe, but the anger these people encounter is totally irrational and isn't based on a difference of opinion on public health.
