The most eye opening thing is a trip to the DMV. The DMV effects us all- rich poor illegal legal, we all have to go and show up ourselves, so it's the best way to get a snapshot of modern demographics.
I live in a city where the illegal problem isn't as visibly serious as places like Denver/LA (where you will see SWARMS of them panhandling on street corners.) But if you go to my local DMV at least HALF of the people there are in no way american. They don't speak english, the women are in hijabs/abayas, that kinda thing.
We know there are 55 million here on legal visas. I'd estimate the illegal population to be between 50-75 million, frankly if it was as high as 100 million I wouldn't be surprised. Over 100 million foreigners. Estimating the USA population at 400 million (since the census doesn't include illegals), at least 25% of our population is foreigners, likely between 30-40%.
Imagine if homes were 25% cheaper, if we paid 25% less in taxes... Think of how these people are holding us back from not just excellence, but ability to thrive.
Tim Walz says we have room for everyone. But do we? Seriously. Do the math, this shit doesn't add up. There are like 200 million tax payers tops and at least 5 billion people clamoring to move here.
