Dave Filoni is mostly why the Expanded Universe lore even got shafted. Please fuck off with this shit and read the fine print. Your nostalgia for The Clone Wars doesn't save its quality under scrutiny when it's the thing that killed the clone wars multimedia project.
This faggot did the most damage to Anakin and Obi by making them characters that are completely not resembling their prequel and lore counterparts.
The only reason people still like TCW is because it was inoffensive unless you love the prequels. It's seen as a bridge to the gap of quality but in reality the characterization is so poorly done it may as well be different characters. Ashoka was supposed to die under George Lucas's vision btw but Dave Jewed out and didn't follow through. Theres literally less than a handful of episodes where Anakin behaves as arrogantly as his film counterpart. The show is full of Gary Stus and low stakes for a Saturday morning cartoon, little true losses on the cast. It's the safest and most boring STAR WARS prequel era got, which is the antithesis of why the prequels were controversial lmao. We're not even going into the many contradictions and fuckup of planets it's made, Dathomir, Mandalore, Maul's own backstory, etc.

Forever unfinished show award by the way, TCW's final season was severely unfinished and rushed and now we have endless spinoff slop instead of what was supposed to end the show with seasons 7 and 8. Clone wars wasn't saved. Even if you're a Filoni guy, there's no rhyme or reason to ever believe this man had quality given the best episodes were neither under his or George's supervision. It was some woman if I recall who wrote some of my favorites, oh.
And the clones. How do you fuck up the coolest soldiers ever???? I know old EU lovers have gripes with them but come on. Apparently George Lucas's daughter suggested the clone chip saga that wasn't even in a fully canonical season (it's literally called the lost missions, episodes that didn't make it into the 5th season...? And why can't they just make a second one so they can properly tie up the canned arcs they botched in the shittier spin-offs?)
