Gavins not trying to own anyone in a debate or anything. Gavin's podcast is a way to leverage himself as the moderate return to "normalcy" that appeals to middle class conservatives in the same way as Biden was and the past decade or so has proven that the middle class isn't on board with any of the LGBTQIA stuff or whatever while still managing to capture enough college student's to secure an election.

not a problem on a gas operated semi. that can happen on a inertial or recoil operated semi but its really easy to avoid.

What kills semi auto shotguns is shell selection. on most of them you have to set the gun up for the shells you intend on shooting. different settings for heavy loaded buck or slugs vs lighter loaded bird shot. if its set for the heavy loads it wont cycle the light loads and if its set for lights and you shoot the heavies the gun will beat itself to death.

once you get it all set up they run like a top assuming your ammo is in spec and you keep them un-fouled like any other semi auto gun. Semi-auto shotguns have been in the hands of shooters since the late 1890s and are pretty well a solved problem.
