Bruv, sit down and watch this. I don't know nor care if it's propaganda. It shows Ukrainians fighting it out against humans and drones. With rifles. And rockets. And grenades. And artillery.

And they shoot people, from not that far away. I seem to remember two guys hurling a grenade into a hidey hole in the frozen ground and blowing a guy's face off from like 10 feet.

Edit: ICE update - a feather indian wearing a "Bruce Lee" jacket (no not joking) is now shouting actual war cries and songs at ICE (from 50 feet away)

White Feather just said he's there from Brooklyn to shout at ICE. Cool story, man. Old bearded Iraq vet is now ranting about Wounded Knee or something? I just keep hearing "white supremacy" over and over.

Calm again. The two slightly lispy cameramen are comparing this protest against others. One is like, totally going to D.C. next week to protest. Wait, now more native chanting.

Update: 3:15pm local Minnesota time -
Mercado media now reporting that "three Lakota natives" have been kidnapped by ICE in order to try to strongarm the Lakota into letting ICE onto the reservation?

I don't even know. Just writing what this dude is saying. Oh and now he's asking for State police and National Guard to come protect the protesters against ICE?

Without air superiority, modern war is just trench warfare with some new toys. Neither side in Ukraine has had success with mobile combined arms operations and the RUAF has been largely limited to a tactical air support role. These failures are what led to the infantry being in the situation where were low cost drones are so effective. Without air superiority, they have to hide their infantry in holes near the front to build up their numbers for a zerg rush. It's not a model to emulate.

Modern warfare, instead of idiot Russian just run in and go for it, is taking out the leaders in small strikes. I'm surprised Trump hasn't done that to Iran yet. I suspect it's coming.

I remember lots of Russian bots saying '2 weeks' for Ukraine to fall. Sorry guys, was it worth it to Russia? Even if they take Ukraine it's lolcow win like Boogie beating cancer. It's worthless and so stupid to fight so hard and give so much for so little in return. The Russians are basically doing Afghanistan useless war all over and will end up turning away and claiming a victory.

Even if you think Vietnam was a worthless war, there was some objective reality to the absolute fact that it was to stop the spread of communism to aid an ally. This shit now is absolutely nuts.

A consumer FPV drone isn't armed, you're going to be spending a bunch to add that capability. And since a consumer FPV drone is not exactly a stable platform for guns, you're probably either going to be adding grenade-dropping capability or contact/proximity detonation capability. Grenades cost a lot more than bullets, and detonation is single-use.

This war is basically WW1 all over. They had artillery blasting all over. It's trench warfare. Drones aren't that much more effective than artillery barrages in the end, except for single hits. I mean yeah it's dramatic to see the drone close in and kill the guy walking around. But this isn't new. Ballistic artillery has been a factor for hundreds of years and moreso than drones.

I'm growing to hate counter protestors just as much as "normal" protestors. If you look at what they say to each other in their hysteria bubbles on Bluesky, Reddit, etc. they whip each other into a hysteria saying ICE is "black-bagging" and "abducting" brown people "without even asking who they are." It's yet another mass psychosis from them.
