This came across my desk tonight, for those of you who may not know, Pat is one half of former Super Best Friends who were on Machinima.
I don't follow his streams or if he's as big a lolcow to people as Phil is, so I have no reason to believe those are botted views, but I am interested to see if Phil can reach these numbers without bots.

Clicked on the stream to see the layout. I don't know who Phil watches stream but I almost never come across people who beg or put up money tickers like Phil does. He really is all about the money and the optics of being "successful"
Pat is a LOLcow, and evidence is in the Two Best Friends play thread in the Gaming subforum.

I haven't played e33 and don't plan to, but how hard could a jrpg possibly be? as far as I can tell it's just spamming your best skill and 1 button QTEs. that's a pretty low bar, even for phil.
There is a pretty tight parry window I think it's close to Sekiro? and the dodge window is much bigger but still E33 has much more active combat then most JRPGS and you kind of have to be able to avoid most damage at least until you get super OP or at least avoid the dangerous parts. Some enemy attacks like 10 consecutive attacks with similar patterns that mix it up and getting hit 1-2 times will probably wipe you.

But really DSP could put on the dodge passives and just clear the shit with much more consistency but he wants to be "the best" so he is only going to parry.

Eh, depending on how they're designed, a JRPG can kick someone in the teeth with their difficulty, and some of the superbosses added in the Thank You update for this game I feel get to that point. The only thing in the base game that even approaches that in my opinion (key word being "approaches"), however, is Simon. Everything else was pretty fucking easy, even Painted Love at the top of the tower was more time consuming than difficult, and even that was due to my misconception that the duo had individual health bars. But another thing to keep in mind, I was playing on Hard while to my recollection, Dave is on medium because IT'S THE DEFAULT DOOD.

The whole E33 playthrough would have been like this except Phil grinded for something like eight hours in the same high-level area to make the majority of the game a cakewalk. This was his favorite game of the year but he didn't really play it. He was so overleveled he beat some of the big story bosses without even seeing their mechanics.

Games Phil wants to play usually fall into one of 3 tiers. Games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring Phil hates and does solely because they are so big for other streamers.

The top tier are the games Phil actually wants to play, and those solely consist of online multiplayer games, mainly StreetFighter/Capcom and CoD. All Phil actually wants is to beat other people in a game and feel powerful and talk down to them like they are beneath the all powerful Phil. WWE Champions is his addiction because its this but its pay to win, and gives him the boost of being good in a pay to win game makes him feel financially successful.

The 2nd tier is Low Effort and that is where we get RPGs and JPRGs especially. Phil loves pretending to love these games because the dream is to just sit and slowly play some JRPG for months on end and be given money for it.

The 3rd tier is the No Effort level and that is your Truck Sim and PowerWash simulator, where Phil is completely checked out and shows the game zero respect because outside of the first tier, Phil doesn't like video games and only got into variety gaming to begin with to make money on Youtube because he already maxxed out the spamming he could do with fighting games.
Mostly agreed, but I think there's another tier above the "Stomp on 12 year olds who don't know how to play" tier: Big AAA franchise release. Phil will drop everything to play the new Mario, Resident Evil, God of War, Halo, whatever. If it's big and AAA (and not co-op focused in some way, he hates team shooters and Monster Hunter) it's top of the list because he knows he'll get money. When that shitty looking game with the bald dyke girlboss comes out (Interglactic), Phil's playing it day 1, despite his constant rants about Druckmann and remastering The Last of Us multiple times and making a shitty show about it and scamming people who wanted the multiplayer mode in the second game, it's day 1 because big Sony AAA release.

Just taking a look at my setups vs his and it's pretty clear he has zero clue about how to setup anyone
The fun in this game is you can make so many busted set ups, I used inverted affinity to make my Maelle just annihilate anything. He cant think so he doesn't try anything fun, he just says "I didn't know that the game never told me exactly how to do that"

It's crazy seeing how fast Raw Phil's chat goes compared to Phil's despite him sitting at 300 viewers.

I cannot wrap my head around some of these people being real. It's so tempting when I see something like that superchat to think maybe this person is joking. Over and over, over the years, I find myself just hitting this mental roadblock about Phil's dents.

Then I remember what every single one of them who gets phonebooked turns out to be like and it all makes sense again.

Get a third job so you can superchat him enough money for a decent pull in Champions, you broke bum!

OT and stall for 28 minutes no goal hit. Looked like it was gonna be a easy goal to hit but man gameplay was so fucking abysmal and just bad. Game didn't tell him what to do etc and he was overacting most of the time trying to I guess make some viral clips or something. If his chat wasn't spamming about some of the people clearly being zombies I'm certain he would've died in the tutorial he even said as much.

If Hytale hits the goal tomorrow it will get more streams this week.

No Coffers streak: 2

The end game battles are pretty fucking hard in E33. No, you can't just "spam your best skills". There's a reason why it's considered one of the greatest games ever made.

i have a semi-retorical question. Why the fuck is he still playing Expedition 33? Didn't that game come out last March? So nearly a year later and he's still got it in rotation? There's no way its just because Asmongold told him it was good.

He dropped it for months but Asmon liked the game so DSP picked it back up to do super slow stall heavy post game sections while crying about how bad views are. He figured Asmon fans would stick around for it but nope.
