It's more closely aligned to the idea reality has split into two parallel views of the world that are diametrically opposed to each other.
One side is MAGA who views Trump and his administration as a last desperate act to peacefully stop the Globohomo System from establishing a permanent totalitarian regime over the entire planet. They're in a complete survivor mode mentality and this is a war for survival.
The other side is Leftists and people who pretend to be moderate. The leftists consists of people who are grossly uninformed, or just plain out stupid, or directly benefit from Globohomo because they're evil. The moderates fall defacto in line with leftists at this point because not supporting Trump, automatically supports the Globohomo/WEF Regime regardless of whether that's their intention or not. Which is what happens when two party systems collapse and invert on themselves into a dual reality based order.
I'll use the Renee Goode situation as an example of what I mean. The moderate stance would typically be "Yeah she was doing dumb stuff, but the cops shouldn't have shot her". Which sounds like a perfectly reasonable stance on the surface. However, what they fail to realize is that by making this statement and having this sentiment, is they're also defacto saying to the people on the right "The ICE agent should've let her harm them" or "The ICE agent should've let her continue to impede their operations". Then, you get into this neverending game of inverse statements because the reality is, this original stance never made sense in the first place. Most moderates fail to consider the inverse of their viewpoints and what's implied with what they say. By saying they shouldn't have shot her, you engaged in a never ending logical feedback loop where you either are forced onto siding with ICE or forced to side with protestors because your original stance was misguided to begin with. Since nobody can admit they're wrong on the internet, you get moderates defacto getting grouped in with leftists as the only logical end result.
Disclaimer: I don't care what you think about Goode, I'm merely trying to explain a phenomenon about how two different stances on a situation interact and communicate. I don't care if you think she deserved to get shot or not, that wasn't the point of the above paragraph.
The other thing I notice a lot of leftists seem to fail to understand is just how fast the world around them is changing/has changed. The world almost KiwiFarms user grew up in is gone and it's never coming back. We live in what's probably the most well documented point in history, thus the craziest time in history. I don't think enough people really acknowledge just how much has changed in the past 10 years alone.
