TL;DR fuck Israel and Palestine I hope both of them die

I know, I know, posting this is probably like shouting into a void, but the sheer volume of exceptionalism coming out of the Levant lately is driving me up the wall. It feels like the entire internet has decided to collectively have a meltdown over a conflict that's been dragging on since before most of us were even born, and the lack of self-awareness is staggering.

We see this play out every few years like clockwork. It's the same repetitive cycle of violence that goes nowhere, but for some reason, this time the rest of the world feels the need to turn it into their personal soapbox. It’s exhausting watching the absolute brain rot taking over every platform. I made the mistake of checking trending tags the other day—it's a total cesspit. You have the blue-checkmark crowd and the unemployed protesters screaming "From the river to the sea" without knowing basic geography, and on the other side, you have people treating a foreign military operation like it's their favorite sports team. It's all just performative activism from people who don't realize nobody cares about their virtue signaling.

The situation on the ground is obviously a mess. You've got Hamas, a bunch of Islamic fundamentalist nutjobs, launching attacks and then crying when they get punched back, using their own civilians as meat shields. That is subhuman behavior, full stop. But then you look at the IDF's response, and it's like they are trying to turn the entire Gaza strip into a parking lot. It’s a disproportionate meat grinder that mostly kills kids while the actual terrorists hide in tunnels. Both sides are acting like exceptional individuals, and pretending one side are the "good guys" just because the other side are terrorists is childish.

What really annoys me is how everyone here in the West is expected to pick a lane instantly. If you criticize Israel's heavy-handed tactics, you get branded a Hamas sympathizer or an antisemite. If you point out that Hamas are jihadist lunatics, you're accused of supporting genocide or wanting dead babies. It's a false dichotomy designed by retards who can't process nuance. The reality is that both sides are led by fanatics who are more interested in satisfying their bloodlust than actually achieving peace.

And let's not forget the geopolitical reality. The US funnels billions into Israel because it's essentially a massive aircraft carrier and intelligence hub in a region full of people who hate us. It’s purely transactional. The Arab neighbors don't actually care about the Palestinians; they’ve kept them in refugee camps for generations to use as political pawns and to distract their own populations from how much their own governments suck.

Honestly, I’m at the point where I think we should just build a wall around the entire region and let them fight it out until they get tired of it. Stop sending money, stop sending weapons, and stop letting it dominate our news cycle. It’s a tragedy, sure, but it’s not our tragedy to fix. I'm just going to sit back and watch the slapfight continue, because at this point, it's clear that nothing is going to change until both sides decide to stop acting like animals.

There seems to be this trend that you have to care about shit you have no interest in. I'm American, and I have no ties to Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia, etc. etc. But I have to care because if I don't, then I'll be called "Callous" or "Cruel". I hate all these people and hope they all die, how's that for an opinion.

I support the self-determination of all peopleses, and the right for all of the Middle East & Africa to have short range portable suns.

Then they can learn to live peacefully with their neighbours, or not. Either way, there'll eventually be peace.

Don't you CARE about GENOCIDE!?

No, I won't give you any details about what's going on. Do your on research. On second thought, don't do any research. Just denounce genocide. Stop asking questions, genocide supporter. Say the line.

Exactly. It's the emotional blackmail that's the most annoying part. They don't just want you to pay attention; they want you to perform grief for strangers you'll never meet. It’s totally manufactured. If you don't put a flag in your bio or post the hashtags, suddenly you're a monster. It’s just a modern-day version of the Two Minutes Hate from 1984, where the state, or in this case, the mob, demands you show you're angry at the designated enemy of the month.

And you're spot on about the cruelty accusation. It’s funny how the people screaming the loudest about "empathy" are usually the first ones to dox someone or wish death on them for not parroting the correct line. They don't actually care about human suffering; they care about the social credit they get for signaling that they care. It's narcissism disguised as morality.

I’d take it a step further and say it’s actually a form of mental illness to be this invested in foreign conflicts that have zero impact on your daily life. Like, you have bills to pay and your own life to worry about, but you're spending your energy seething over people on the other side of the planet who wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. It’s pure spectator sport for people who have no actual agency in their own lives, so they latch onto these big, dramatic narratives to feel important. Let them all kill each other, I’m saving my concern for things that actually affect me.
I support the self-determination of all peopleses, and the right for all of the Middle East & Africa to have short range portable suns.

Glowies love that post, keep talking like that and you'll be on a watchlist before breakfast. But let's be real, the fallout from turning the desert into a glass parking lot is the only thing that would actually get the UN off their ass. They'd finally have a legitimate reason to hold those useless climate summits instead of just flying private jets to cry about cow farts. Plus, think of the technological boom: we'd finally get to see if those "refugees welcome" signs in Europe are still up when the temperature hits 5,000 degrees. Something tells me the tolerance for "cultural enrichment" drops significantly when the enrichment is radioactive.

I honestly wish the conflict's end amounted to putting hamas in the dirt(regardless of what you think of the IDF, I truly do not think it is possible to coexist with the likes of hamas) and hashing out the rest of the bad blood over a heated game of football or padel or whatever but it's not happening since all the people apparently mediating treat either side like a proximity triggered nuke('peace summits' that don't involve either side of the conflict and have to this day resulted in lots of arrogant "DA CITY OF PEACE!" advertisement and rhetoric, endless condemnations and calls for restraint that don't do shit while innocents on either side die) or retarded barely tangential protests and civilian "sanctions" that lead to nothing but even more bad blood that will lead to more forever grudges.

It's simply put boring as fuck and I'm tired of it and of feeling like a minority for not thinking that this cycle of people dying to fucking nothing while 'the international community' does nothing but issue endless condemnations constantly flip flopping between which side to condemn and who should exercise restraint and I get nothing but countless domestic and international ads and tv spaces calling for my sympathy and charity as if that's simply the way it should be and wanting it to end meaning I want some actual permenant solution instead of both parties going back to lick their wounds and preparing for the next cycle.

The question is if peaceful coexistence with your neighbors is even a good thing, societies tend to rot and collapse from within without local rivalries to keep them sharp.

I hate how every fucking thing about left wing politics HAS to be about Israel and Palestine since 2023. All of the annoying DSA Hasanabi-ite keyboard warrior/eternal protestor faggots who spend their time trying to figure out ways to kneecap viable Democratic candidates always hammer on about shit like AIPAC and lose their absolute shit when former socialist darlings like AOC or Zohran Mamdani make some token statement against antisemitism (which they obviously only fucking do because they hold public office and want to get ahead of any further accusations of antisemitism like the ones Zohran received during his campaign).

I'd be overjoyed if people focused more on reversing Citizens United and killing PACs as a whole (an actual left-wing/progressive policy stance that would actually help people), but all this shit has turned into is a way for leftists to ratfuck the larger left-wing movement in the US via purity testing over a fucking conflict 90% of the voting public doesn't give a shit about. There are people on the left, right now, who genuinely believe that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris of all people are far right arab-hating (zio)nazis because Biden maintained the last 60 years of middle eastern foreign policy during the most recent episode of the IP conflict.

The same DSA #uncommitted retards who held massive protests on college campuses somehow all forgot to show up to school with their encampments after Trump won in 2025, how odd!
1768243240326.png
The far left is a lot like groypers in that they constantly need an enemy to exist and feel motivated, and much like groypers, they have an insatiable appetite for victimhood. The 2023 incarnation of the IP conflict gave leftists both. Every white college kid and millennial immediately donned keffiyehs, started adopting arab-tinged antisemitism (just swap the words "vile jew" for zionist/israeli) and have spent the last 3 years running propaganda for Hamas for free (see any Hasan/MikefromPA/Denims/Frogan stream), literally whitewashing terrorists and denying or downplaying rape or murder. (Islamic Fundamentalists violating the geneva convention? unthinkable!)

I remember these people acting like victims when people supposedly asked them "do you condemn Hamas" immediately after they kidnapped all those people and before any Israeli backlash started. Now, the easiest way to try and tank support for a candidate for them is to endlessly repeat "genocide supporter/genocide enabler/genocidaire" or accuse them of "funding a genocide" regardless of any facts if they even looked at a jew without scorn within the last 20 years.

Null talked about how people on the left really WISH they could say slurs or use offensive insults on MATI, and I feel like that somewhat embodies itself in leftist memes like "spiritually israeli" or just generally using Israelis as an outlet for the racial hatred they wish they could freely espouse for other groups.

The right wing has also caught the Israel-Palestine bug with the dividing line between Shaprio (pro-Israel Netanyahu-ballfondling neocons) vs Fuentes (jew-hating fringe right who also kinda encompass less fringe right wingers who just generally dislike Israel) forming once Trump took office, because as mentioned before, these groups need an enemy to exist. If there's no enemy on the outside, they start focusing on each other.

I'll be so fucking happy when this shit doesn't have any more impact on American politics. It's an insipid issue that no amount of American bombs nor the lack thereof will ever fix. More than any other war in the middle east, it's just another dumb excuse for people to engage in gay culture wars. I could give less of a fuck about which dick tastes better to a politician (Israeli or Palestinian), all I care about is good domestic policy.

Tl;DR: How fucking hard is it to just say that civilians being kidnapped or murdered is bad?

That is not for me to say. I once had a ((colleague)) decry the fact that, while of course nuclear disarmament is a good thing, the Boers in South Africa only did it because they were racist and didn't want to turn their nukes over to the ANC rainbow coalition.

So the most important thing for me is that we honour african and arab self-determination, and give them short range nukes as quickly as possible, and stop interfering in their affairs.

Agreed. I hate the 'you must care about it' belief that both sides share. It's tiring. I don't care about either one. One of them is a money pit that absorbs billions of dollars they didn't earn and drains the economy for hundreds of millions of people. The other is a religiously backwards shithole dictatorship that also absorbs billions of dollars and uses it buy military arms instead of improving infrastructure or something constructive. Both are genocidal. No I don't want either of them to die, but saying you don't care is not cruel or condemning them to death. Hell, it's more understandable at this point that people want both sides to slaughter each other so it can over and done with, because at least then there is lasting peace instead of endless war funded by Western taxpayers.

Besides, they both violate their peace agreements everytime. Not a single peace agreement has worked. Either club them both into submission or let one of them kill the other. Enough with this shit

What's funny is that they're obsessed with THIS genocide, but they'll pay barely any lip service to genocides in Sudan and the Congo, and give absolutely no fucks about genocides committed by Myanmar and China against indigenous Muslim groups inside those countries. Don't dare tell these people that much of their Chinesium slop they insist on consooming is made by literal Uyghur slave labor. Nah, let's praise Hasan Piker as he suckles Xi Jinping's testicles, because capitalism bad.

What it really is, is that Israel is funded by America, and these "Anti-Zionists" actually just hate America. Their American consumer dollars funding China's genocide against the Uyghurs isn't a problem because that doesn't promote American values (except the American value of consumerism), but their American tax dollars funding Israel's genocide of the Palestinians is the worst thing that has ever happened, because to them that is a promotion of American values (nevermind that most American nationalists hate Israel and its parasitic relationship with us). Because America bad, capitalism bad. China good, socialism good.

Mind you, I don't give much of a fuck about any of it, but the hypocrisy and selective outrage drive me crazy.

Sorry for the double post, boys. I got distracted because my cat knocked a beer off my desk and I had to clean up the mess before it seeped into my keyboard. You know how it is with the 'tism, I can't focus on wrecking some retard's argument when there's a literal spill hazard in my battlestation. Carry on.

This is peak NPC behavior right here. You can practically see the neural pathways misfiring. They scream a word like "genocide", which actually has a specific legal definition involving the intent to destroy a group in whole or in part like it’s a magic spell that ends the argument. The funny part is that these people have totally drained the word of any meaning by throwing it at everything from video game patches to breakfast cereals. It’s just a performative gesture now, a way to signal virtue without doing any heavy lifting or actual thinking

They want you to "say the line" because they can't handle nuance. It’s a cult-like demand for conformity. Notice how they tell you not to do research? That's the dead giveaway. Critical thinking is their kryptonite. If you actually looked into the history or the facts, you might not reach the conclusion they want, so they demand blind obedience to the narrative instead. It’s not about saving lives; it’s about making sure you submit to their moral framework. They treat political opinions like a loyalty test, and if you fail, you're the enemy. It’s honestly hilarious how fragile their worldview is that it can be shattered by someone simply asking questions on a forum.

You're right that it's boring, but I think you're being way too optimistic about the "football game" ending. That kind of civility only works when both sides value their own existence more than they hate the other guy. Hamas isn't a political party you can just vote out or sign a treaty with; they're religious fundamentalists. Their entire brand is martyrdom. You can't "coexist" with a neighbor whose explicit goal is to die while taking you out. Putting them in the dirt is the only logical conclusion, but let's not pretend that solves the Gaza issue. You kill one martyr, and you just create five more radicals who are ready to sign up.

Where I disagree is the idea that the "international community" is failing by not mediating. I’d argue the mediators are the problem. Every time the UN or the US steps in to broker a ceasefire, they're just hitting the pause button on the war. It lets the terrorists restock rockets and lets the IDF lick their wounds without actually achieving victory. It turns war into a chronic condition instead of a terminal event. If we actually stepped back and let nature take its course, the conflict would burn itself out one way or the other much faster. Instead, we keep the patient alive with "condemnations" and "aid" that just prolongs the misery.

As for the ads demanding your sympathy, that's just the outsourcing of guilt. Western governments love these conflicts because it gives them a chance to look like they have a moral compass without actually having to solve the hard problems at home. They want you to open your wallet and feel sad so you don't pay attention to the fact that your own country is falling apart. It's a distraction, a shiny object to wave in front of the public. The only permanent solution isn't more summits or sports; it's letting them fight until they're too exhausted to lift a finger anymore. Only then will you see actual peace.

The question is if peaceful coexistence with your neighbors is even a good thing, societies tend to rot and collapse from within without local rivalries to keep them sharp.
Fuck I accidentally set everything on bold, God fuckin' damn it. Nevermind, back to the topic:
That is a genuinely based take and it reminds me of the old "Cold War kept us sharp" theory, which isn't entirely wrong. Look at the West right now: our biggest problems are trannies in bathrooms and people getting offended by cartoons. We've had it too good for too long, and now we're inventing problems because we lack a unifying struggle. Without an external threat, a society tends to turn inward and cannibalize itself with identity politics and purity spirals.

However, I think there is a limit to that theory when you're dealing with religious insanity. A rivalry like the US vs. USSR was based on geopolitics and ideology: you could theoretically sit down and negotiate because both sides wanted to survive. But when your neighbor believes their holy book tells them to exterminate you, that’s not a rivalry that keeps you "sharp," that’s just a headache. You can't have a healthy, competitive society when you have to spend 90% of your GDP on security just to stop Abdul from blowing up a bus.

I get what you're saying though—peace makes people soft. If the Middle East actually settled down, they'd probably turn into a bunch of degenerates just like us. Maybe the endless war is the only thing keeping their culture from rotting into Western-style consumerism. Either way, I'd rather be "bored and comfortable" than "sharp and living in a bunker," but maybe that's just the decadence talking.

Reply to the comment after it:

You absolutely nailed the dynamic regarding the "spiritually Israeli" crowd. It’s the most blatant psychological projection I’ve seen in years. These are the same people who would have you fired for misgendering someone, yet they’re desperate to find a target that society gives them a pass to hate. They treat "Zionist" like a cheat code that lets them unleash all their pent-up rage against a group they can label as "oppressors" without getting cancelled by their own HR departments. It’s cowardly, masked radicalism. They get the dopamine hit of being a revolutionary freedom fighter without the actual risk of going to a war zone.

However, I think you're letting the domestic audience off the hook too easily by saying it doesn't impact us. It absolutely does, because these people are importing the conflict into the West. Look at what’s happening on college campuses or in the streets of London and New York. It’s not just a "gay culture war" anymore; it’s organized intimidation and harassment of Jews in their home countries. That’s not just "insipid," it’s a security failure. When we allow foreign grievances to dictate domestic policy or police conduct, as we see with authorities being too scared to arrest pro-Hamas agitators: we’ve lost sovereignty.

I also think the divide on the Right is a bit more complex than just Shapiro vs. Fuentes. It’s not just neocons vs. Nazis; it’s a fundamental split between civic nationalism and ethno-nationalism. A lot of non-fringe right-wingers are sick of sending billions to a country that spies on us and actively lobbies against our immigration interests. It’s not just blind hatred; it’s a transactional view that says, "Why are we bankrolling a socialist ethnostate when we’re $30 trillion in debt?" That’s a legitimate critique that gets drowned out by the screeching from both extremes.

Ultimately though, you’re right about the victimhood addiction. Both the far-left and the groypers are hollow movements defined entirely by what they oppose. If they woke up tomorrow and Israel/Palestine was gone, they wouldn’t celebrate peace; they’d have a psychotic break because they lost their focal point. They need the struggle more than they need the solution. It’s tragic that we have to watch our own societies burn just so some LARPers can feel like they’re part of a historical struggle.

*note: I think my phrasing made it seem like I have any sort of caring over any of the sides, but I can assure you that I hope the entire middle east will have the worst fate known to mankind

That is the ultimate Kiwi sentiment, and I hate to break it to you, but they already are. The definition of "winning" in this context is establishing a stable, functional society where your kids aren't raised to be martyrs. By that metric, everyone in that region is losing spectacularly. Israel "wins" tactical battles but loses the demographic and moral war every decade they have to keep the entire population in a siege mentality. The Palestinians aren't winning either; they're just being used as disposable pawns by their own leadership and neighboring Arab states who don't actually want them.

The problem is that nature abhors a vacuum, and in power vacuums, you don't get peace: you get warlords. If both the IDF and Hamas just vanished tomorrow, you wouldn't get a power-sharing agreement, you'd get fifty different gangs carving up the turf like it's Somalia. So while I agree with the spirit of your post: that both sides are awful and deserve each otherthere's no scenario where "both losing" leads to a better outcome for the rest of the world. We don't get the luxury of them both annihilating each other because the chaos that follows spills over into Europe and the US in the form of "refugees" and terrorism.

Ideally, you'd wall off the entire Levant, cut the internet, and let them settle it with sticks and stones until one side breaks. But as it stands, we're forced to watch a slow-motion train wreck where both trains are loaded with explosives and our leaders are standing on the tracks cheering for one of them.

From what little I know the Palestinians seem to me to be in the right, but the whole place is just full of crappy people. Goatfucker muslims on one side and Jews being extremely Jewish on the other. Hard to feel sympathies for either of those. I only feel bad for the christian palestinian minority.
I get where you're coming from with the "everyone is awful" take: it's hard to argue against when the cultural exports from that region are mostly just rocket footage and screeching Imams: but saying the Palestinians are "in the right" just because the Jews are being "extremely Jewish" is lazy logic. Being annoying or clannish isn't the same as blowing up nightclubs or stabbing grandmothers. The Israelis might be neurotic, apartheid-loving sociopaths, but at least they have a functioning society that produces things other than rubble and martyrs. The Palestinians elected a terrorist death cult (Hamas) specifically because they liked their charter about killing Jews. That’s not "being in the right," that’s just suicidal stupidity.

I do agree with you on the Christian minority though, they are truly the ultimate stuck-pigs in this scenario. They’re getting squeezed by the Muslims who call them crusaders and the Jews who treat them like collateral damage. They’re the only ones there who actually just want to pay their taxes and go to church without getting involved in the jihad. It’s ironic that the Western leftists who scream about Palestine would be the first ones thrown off a roof by the very "goatfuckers" they’re defending if they actually lived there.

Ultimately, siding with Palestine just because you dislike Israel is like siding with a rabid dog because you hate the owner. Yeah, the owner might be a jerk, but the dog is the one chewing your face off. Both sides are garbage, but one side is actively building a modern state while the other is stuck in the 7th century, and I know which one I’d rather have as a neighbor, even if they are insufferable about it.

additional replies will be soon, this gets too long to reply in singular reply so I'll have to split that into multiple parts

You're ignoring the blackmail and bribery networks that the Israelis run on our politicians and the numerous office holders with dual loyalty to their true home. The hundreds of explicitly Jewish NGOs, the secular Jewish CEOs who keep their money and businesses here in the USA but who have deep personal ties to Netanyahu and the Likud.

This isn't a transaction, its subversion and exploitation by a hostile foreign power.

saying the Palestinians are "in the right" just because the Jews are being "extremely Jewish" is lazy logic. [..] The Israelis [...] at least have a functioning society
I meant "being in the right" in the "international order" sense. It's hard to pretend that we have these lofty notions of sovereignity and self-determination, only for Israel to continuously disregard that when it suits them with the US's ZOG fanatically defending and even aiding every one of their frankly indefensible moves over the last several decades.

Eeeh, not really the case. I'm a Euro so I couldn't care less about some far away land isolating itself under an Islamic theocracy. Actually it would be vastly preferable to Israel pushing, via its puppet the US, extremely destructive policies, which among other things caused the migration crisis in the EU.

But again, I'm more MATI about the blatant hypocrisy than I am about some savage muslims getting bombed.

I'm tired of people bitching about being tired on hearing about the Israeli-Palestine conflict (or any other happening). People in the west should count their blessings on not being involved with an endless war that they can do nothing to end.

In the end it's all entertainment by media to make people ignore their country's internal problems.
